SOURCE: Brother IntelliFAX 4100 pickup roller

Need more info. Do you need help in replacing the roller? If so, it is a big job. You have to completely remove the doc feed asm and all covers to get to the roller shaft asm. Best to let a tech do it for you.
Have you tried cleaning it with some roller cleaner. Try a little bit of Goof-Off cleaner on a cotton rag.

SOURCE: HOW do i get my brother intellifax 2820 to time stamp the faxe

From everything that I've seen I don't see any way to tim stamp incoming faxes. Almost all fax machines should automatically time stamp outgoing faxes unless the user has removed that function for some reason. If you are getting faxes from people that don't include time stamps than the next best thing is to use the journaling feature. The 2820 can print a journal of past incoming faxes that will include timestamps of the past faxes recieved in either 6,12,24 hour or 2, 7 day intervals. The default is every 50 faxes. To change the settings:

Press Menu/Set, 2,4,2
2. Journal Period
Use Arrows to choose an interval
Press Menu/Set
Press Stop/Exit

SOURCE: Brother Intellifax 2820 I keep getting a end toner

Make sure the machine is not in direct sunlight as the toner end sensor is photo-optic. If it's an after market toner or refill...good luck with that. Lastly remove the toner tap on top of it and shake it from side to side and reinstall. The toner may be caked up inside,

I have a brother intellifax 2820 the error message is "the back door is open" the back door is closed , however when i open the back door paper is stuck, whixh i have to remove , how do i correct...

i'm assuming its making an "accordian" type jam. if so, your exit rollers need to be cleaned. you can use water on a rag or windex. the problem is the average user being able to access rollers. looking from front of machine, look closely where your faxes come out, you will see 4 rubber rollers riding on top of 4 wide, plastic rollers. the rubber ones are the exit rollers needing cleaned.

good luck

We have a Brother Intellifax 2820 fax machine, and the problem from the pick up tray after two copies it gives an error "No Paper Feed" can you tell me what is the problem. I cleant the pick up...

Tray this:
open the left cover, check the pick-up solenoid by hand, if it remain as bonded in the part under, you have to remove from the part under the little rubber band with a screwdriver. Then recheck the solenoid if it works good.

Is the triac that controls on/off times of fuser lamp located on a pcb or by itself? I would wager that it is shorted to the always on condition.

REPEATED REAR PAPER JAMS-BROTHER INTELLIFAX 2820

Try making prints or copies with the rear door open. If it does not jam your fixing unit (hot area) is functioning properly. With the rear door closed try again making copies or prints. If it jams it's most likely the exit rollers acting up.

1. I've seen the exit sensor break on these units and sometimes the drive gears wear and do not feed properly.
2. If using after market toner or refills this may also coat the exit roller with a film which prevents the exit rollers from feeding parper out by reducing the friction of theses rollers. Clean with fantastic untill cloth does not turn black.

Hi, There are many reasons for jams in the exit of machines and I will list the most common for you damp paper will curl as soon as it hits the fuser rollers... the fix - change paper the fuser rollers are worn (teflon coating is no longer able to deflect toner) and jams are occurring.... the fix - replace the fuser unit
