Same thing is going on with me. I had it on and it worked for a while, then someone in the family downloaded Norton protection somehow and Webroot is just not working at all. No matter how many times I tell it to turn on it doesnt. I'm getting fed up!

FREE SPYWARE
Download Spybot Search & Destroy. Restart computer, then run Spybot to see what spyware comes up, AND DELET IT.

FYI---Virus Protection-- 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection. SO just download one.

Running Spybot Search & Destroy with EITHER Avast or Avg (great Free virus protection programs ) will keep a computer in good working condition. FREE

Is your subscription expired?
I would recommend uninstalling webroot and installing Avast

They have a brand new virus protection scheme called sandboxing and its quite advanced. Plus its free! Better than norton or webroot by farrrrrrrrrrr.

Why did i get a virus and i have spy sweeper

with all do respect spy sweeper is not a very good protecter norton is the one you need well to answer your question some isnt on top of things like others are i mean they try to be but there not.so norton 30 day trial intell you get norton whould be my best bet.

Cannot delete webroot folder.do not have permissions, cannot install norton anti virus software

Norton isn't very good protection software, instead of this you can use free Avira Antivirus (http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus) or Avast (http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download)

You probably got that virus from your family since Norton is pretty much useless and has so munch requirements that will just not run on your pc.
You don't need a disk to install an antivirus, all you need is an installer and a USB slot.
Use another pc and go here

When the browser will ask you what to do select Save, not Run and download the installer. Move this installer to a USB memory stick, plug this stick in your ASUS and launch it. During the install you will be presented with the option of a boot scan - make sure it's selected.

Webroot gives error eisenginefailed on startup, computer is using webroot as a client off of the server, it can connect to the server but has not performed a scan in five months

McAfee conflicting with Webroot

Webroot...both programs together wont install

they are spyware detector and I believe these programs can clash, I suggust you goto FREE AVG in google and download their free avg download to sort the spyware & virus side of things, remember that that Vista has built in Spyware protection. Regards GeWiz

I can't get antivirus to download

norton is better. you could uninstall it and try again as long as it has a product key u have to enter. but in my opinion, stick with norton
