125 grams butter to spoons

It is about 8 1/2 level tablespoons, but you are better off getting a block of butter with the measurement printed on the wrapper

When cookie recipes call for unsalted butter, does it matter if I use salted butter?

It's not the end of the world if you have to use salted butter in your cookies. It's just better not to as then you can control the amount of salt in the recipe. If you do need to use salted butter just make sure that you leave out any extra salt the recipe calls for(watch out for salted nuts too).

Lid will not close. Jams half way down

is there any build up any where aound the hinge? Rub a bit of butter on hinge then move lid up & down. this is kind of like oiling something but your using butter or margerine. I do this on the hinges of my doors when they start to squeek.
