First, make sure that your Printer is setup with the correct wireless information from your wireless router. Once this information has been entered, you should be able to connect to the wireless printer.

Click add Printer, from Control Panel, Printers & Faxes.

Click Add Printer, and than add Local Printer, Create Local Port, TCP/IP.

Print out the network configuration page from the printer, should be under menu.

Next input the IP information into the IP Address field, the Port will automatically be filled in.

Recently got two new laptops and have a existing Dell 3 in 1 photo printer all wireless. Loaded the printer software on the laptops I can print using the usb cable but it will not print wireless not sure...

make sure that both your computer and printer are both on the same network. after connect them you are most likely going to have to add the printer to the laptops. go into your control panel where it says hardware and sound and click on printer. there will be an option to add printer up at the top, click that and a new window will open up, click on the add wireless or bluetooth printer and follow the steps.

Can I make this a wireless printer?

You can connect the printer via USB to a single PC or via Ethernet on a network. Though it doesn't have wireless capability built-in, you could also connect it to a wireless router or a print server for a shared wireless connection.

HP photosmart C5580 wireless printing problem

You laptop will not be able to connect to the printer using the bluetooth technology. But the good news is that you can use the printer thru your home network by having the desktop that the printer is connected to be part of the same home network that your laptop is part of and then share your printer on our desktop and then select it as a printer to use on your laptop.
This link has instructions for all of your home network instructions.

Printer and computer no communication

Unless you have a wireless router to conduct traffic, you won't be able to print wirelessly to the AIO 966.

You will need a cable (and it's possible the printer didn't come with one). You'll need a USB A-B cable to do this. You can find one at any office supply store, Radio Shack, Target... it's a common part.

Then with with laptop and printer on, plug in the cable to each and Windows should recognize the device and you'll be able to print.

Installing and want to print remotely

Do you have the unit connected a network? If so, choose network. If the printer is connected directly to your computer, then choose local.

One possibility for remote printing is Bluetooth. You can purchase Bluetooth USB adapters for the printer & your computer if not so equipped. They include the software to make everything work together. I think Bluetooth is a great wireless option that is under utilized by many consumers.

Good luck!

2) YES
3) set up the printer on another computer, and set it for sharing. Then make sure that you laptop is recognized in the network connections wizard, then on the laptop select add new printer and select the bullett that say a network printer. the rest is pretty easy, select browse for a printer or something, it is the first option, select it, say yes to all dialogue boxes, and let the computer do the rest.
