Instead of looking for an OEM motor which can cost an insane amount of money...

try taking the information off the motor itself and taking it to a part supply house or motor shop. i.e. an 875RPM 1/4 HP 208 V 1 PH motor with a 1/2" shaft.

Maybe taking the motor itself to the parts house or motor shop will get you further than internet searching a blower motor part number. These systems are designed so that universal parts can be put back in place....at least most of them.

SOURCE: the blower motor does not

Hello, turn off power to the furnace and remove the thermostat, then take the R and W Wires and put a jumper wire between them, then turn power back on if this turms on the furnace then you have a bad thermostat if it does not it is a problem with the integrated control board or possibly a low voltqge wire is loose.

American standard communicating air handler and heat pump blower wont come on new board 4 months ago any way to check the variable speed blower motor

High and low voltage AT the motor with no motor function is a bad motor. Should have 12 to 13 volts DC on r+ and r- (I believe are the correct terminals) You must test this when the machine is trying to run. Yes, it's dangerous, hire a licensed contractor!!

Heat works until thermostat calls for aux heat, then blower shuts off with outside unit still running.

Some blowers shut off depending on the system. Do you have electric hest strips inside? If not the blower will shut off. The outdoor fan should not be running if in defrost mode. If you have heat strips then you likely have low voltage wiring crossed

How old is the unit? Heat pumps don't work when it's real cold, you know it's limits. If it's not real cold outside, then it may be low on gas or such and need a service call.

Amana heat pump emergency heat comes on but blower will not start. The call for heat comes in and the heating element(s) glow red for a few seconds and then there is a "click" and the heating...

Check the blower motor capicator. It should be mounted close to the motor with 2 wires to it (brown,brown/white).
Turn the blower on the thermostat and spin the squirrel cage by hand and see if it runs after by itself. If it does then definitely the capicator is bad .If it still doesn't run then check to see if there is voltage going to motor.
If thermostat is calling for fan and there is voltage present at the motor terminal then the motor is bad

Gas furnance lights but fan does not come on. buzzing sound from panel near fan.fan is not jammed it spins freely.unit is seven years old.

Most furnaces equipped with an electronic control board activate the same blower speed for heating and continuous fan. If the cooling speed works, the problem is likely in the circuit board (relay) or wiring to the motor. Check and rectify.

I have error codes flashing on my thermostat..it is an american standard model the manual for the therm. has ACOT900AC43UA on front..says to find addedum 18-HD32D2-1/69-2009 for codes i cannot find it...

Error codes from American Standard Pub 18-HD32D2-8, which is a one-sheet document that came with my American Standard air-conditioner:

29 = not listed

129 = not listed

80 = HPCO Fault - problem is in outdoor unit - Desscription: High Pressure Monitor Fault (hard lock out, cycle power to reset)

91 = Communication Inactive Fault - problem is in air handler - Descriptions - COMM Bit Master Clock Error, COMM Heat/Cool Demand Error, Serial Motor Communication Inactive Error

91 = Communication Fault - problem is in furnace - Descriptions: Blower motor no COMM response, Inducer motor no COMM response, Loss of heat/cool demand, Loss of clock signal

91 = Communication Fault - problem is in outdoor unit - Descriptions: Loss of Heat/Cool Demand Message (COMM), Loss of Bit Master (Clock Signal)

91 = Communication Fault - Description: Comm line is dead and no bits have been received.

By the way, I do not recommend American Standard. I've had mine 14 months and it just blew up - the entire control panel blew. My advice to you - think about a different brand.

American Standard blower will not run

Sounds like motor has failed. If the red light is blinking it may be telling you what is wrong by the number of blinks. It maybe locked out for some reason or loose wire. Try turning off breakers to inside unit for 5 mins and try again, this may reset unit. But it sounds like a bad motor or circut board. Try running with stat in on position instead of auto in cooling mode.
