Question about Invacare Supply Group Invacare Scooter Lynx L-3 L-4 Transaxle Differential

The transaxle appears to slip at times,what could be the problem

Car has 140000 miles & transaxle is starting to thump at times like it is slipping. also the over drive button does not work and when I take it out of cruise it sometimes helps.

Addition to previous post, that altima drives very well for 30-40 miles...it appears to slip into neutral, revs up, I cannot accelerate...I can stop, let cool down 15 min, cars operates well until the next...

Time for a transaxle rebuild

You drove it knowing you had problems
& ruined it internally

No drive or reverse on 2003 mercury Sable

If that transaxle has been in the car since
2003 & never been rebuilt, it is due now

Taurus transaxles avg is about 65,000 miles
over the last 25 years or so,that info is avail
on the internet

I also owned a trans repair shop & over 50% of
my work was caravans & close behind taurus

I had a similar problem thinking my tranny was slipping. Turned out it was the spark plugs miss firing, had 100,000 mi. Changed the plugs & wires problem went away.

Slipping transmission

The only fix for that, is to rebuild it

When you changed the fluid, it most likely
slipped worse,whether you were aware of it or not,at the time.

Avg life of a taurus transaxle is 65,000 miles

Just replaced the alternator on my 1999 Hyundai Sonata. Upon completing the repair I took the car for a short drive to test its operation discovered a new problem. After about 4.5 miles and maybe a 15...

I would put money on the fact you need to rebuild the transaxle

I bought a 2001 honda odessey with 73000 miles the transmission gave up. i have it rebuild now it is 83000 miles transmission starting to slip

No transaxles make 100,000 miles

What your saying, including the rebuild
is common

Asian transaxles & all Van type vehicles,
are something you don't want to own

I used to own a trans shop,so I will leave
you with that

Can't fix slipping,drive a couple of days,
& your pulling the trans out again

My blower dosn't work to curculate the air and heat in my car and tranny slps but i have fluid on the dipsick

You will need a complete transmission
rebuild, if you have any slipping

Slipping starts long before you notice it

Tauras & Sable transaxle life is well less
than 100,000 miles

Transmission slipped in second gear a few times...then vehichle stopped moving all together. 2002 honda civic ....150k miles

Have the transaxle rebuilt or install a reman

Lucky to get to 100,000 miles,even if you changed the fluid
every 30,000 miles,which now one does

96 pontiac transaxle is slipping

You are going to need an overhaul, once the trans starts to slip that is the end of the clutches inside the trans.

Today, when I used the elevator in a private residence to go to the 4th floor. This is an actual elevator, not a scooter that rides up the side of the staircase. On the way up, it inexplicably stopped on the 3rd floor. I opened the door, closed it again and then proceeded to the 4th floor. I then road the elevator back down to the 2nd floor and left for the day. When I returned, I noticed the floor indicator light flashing for the 2nd floor. I pressed for the car to come down to the 1st floor, where I had entered. It didn't come down. I went upstairs and found that I had inadvertently left the door opened on the 2nd floor. I got inside and road it down to the 1st floor; packed some boxes on and went to the 4th floor. But now I noticed that the 4th floor indicator light is flashing. Longer story short - now all of the floor indicator lights are flashing. Why? Help!
