Hp Ipaq hx4700 - Cannot get beyond 'Align Screen'

I have not used my PDA for some time. I have charged it again and now cannot move beyond this scrre. Would apreciate any advice on this one.

both batteries must be good, not just 1.
ask hp for help and get shocks (omg Iqaps)

Replaced ipaq 4150 internal backup battery but

read the manual yet, or lost it> or?
most of these have 2 batteries
one that pops out one more that solders down.
guess which one retrains data.
finding parts for relics like this is not fun
what good is this thing besides, wall art?

why ask here at all, we are not HP , nor are there HP books here.
so ask here.

there are folks there that might remember so long ago
or even have old books laying about after all they are HP.

Backup battery won't charge

It must be the hp pda battery problem or the problem of your hp pda battery charger.

Assuming that the switches on the bottom case are in the correct position. Try reflashing with original HP rom:
