Becoz ur hard disc got corrupted ! But don't worry, U need swith on the PS3 & touch hold both the "Eject" & "Power/Reset" button for 20 secs or until a triple beep sound. It will restart the PS3 with a Message " Press X Button to restore the corrupted data ".. Enjoy.. !! =D

Try doing this... Access the PS3 recovery menu
1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
..I did this and i got my ps3 Back !! :)

be patient and wait for those beeps.. they are important

You must reset your PS3 in order to accept the new TV configuration.

  • If the video output settings on the PLAYSTATION3 do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system.
  • Then, with only the PLAYSTATION3 and the TV connected, touch the system's power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.

    Hi,

    Try to reset the video settings on the PS3 and also make sure the cables are all attached and that you have the TV on the correct input source.

    Turn the PS3 off so the red light is on. Hold down the power button on the PS3 until you hear a beep. Release the power button and press it again.
    That should have reset the video settings so you will be able to set the video settings again on the other TV and access the PS3 menu to set it up.

    No picture
    I'm sure you already checked the connections on both the ps3 and Tv to make sure they are firmly and properly connected.
    So, when turning on the ps3, hold the power button for at least 6 seconds until you hear a second beep. this should reset your audio/video settings to normal.

    if using HDMI, wait for about a minute for the ps3 and TV to negotiate a connection.

    "
