I have the same little remote control car. I took my battery out to clean the terminals, and found the number on it to be 1BA1R2N120M. This is many years after your original post, but it may help someone.
Hi ken, if your nikko cars are dont seem to work check te conection cable maybe you need to cleened a little bit if you make it and dont work try to change the beterries again if they are rechargable or only use baterries AA
you can search at ebay always is someone seellin that type of remote control but check if the cars is with four band selector or not and check the frecuency of your car
the maninboard of the nikko car is broken you may need to change it or look for it at ebay or search in a second hand store and find a cheap card with the same tipe of baterrie and model to buy it for replacement parts
