The best investment I ever made, in terms of my printers, was an ink cartridge "resetter". I ordered it long ago from one of the on-line ink refill places. It doesn't look like much but you just press the contact points on the cartridge against the metal prongs on the resetter. Wait for the green light to flash, and the printer will let you put that ****** right back in the machine, no matter how near empty it is. No telling how much money this one has saved. And, as I remember, it was a pretty inexpensive item. Hope that helps...
Take all carts out of the printer. Close cover. unplug printer. Wait for two minutes. Refill carts to full level or use new carts. Reconnect printer to power. Printer demands carts. reinsert carts as demanded. If asked press: yes. carts changed. machine should do cleaning cycle and recognize the carts as full.
If you run a brother printer always print until machine stopps printing and shows cart empty!

Same problem, but just with the black. The previous cartridge may have been pulled out before printer registered it as empty (kids!!)...not sure if that affects things. Have tried turning printer off and unplugging, as suggested. Still won't recognized the black cart. It IS an Epson cart. I also tried using the cartridge resetter I used to use with my old Epson (because, unlike this one, it allowed me to refill the old cartridges). That also did not work. Help??
It says that I am out of blank ink and won't let me print. I replace it with a new one but it still says this.
It says ink cart. problem : (tricolor) refer to device documentation to troubleshoot. what should i do?
My printer keeps telling me I am out of ink in the yellow cartridge. I have changed it several times, but I can see there is still ink in all the cartridges.
