Need wiring diagram for Sony XM-E70 Equalizer/Amp

I bought an old Sony XM70E equalizer/amp and I need wiring information for it. It has 2 RCA connectors (read and black), 4 individual wires, black, red, yellow and blue, and 5 wires that go to a 9 pin connector, black, white, red, gray and brown. If anyone has a users manual or can assist me regarding wiring information I would greatly appreciate it.

You need 1 thick ground cable ( usually brown)
you need 1 thick power cable ( same thickness and wire as ground usually red )
you should have 1 rem wire ( thin blue )
RCAs, 2 for sub, extra 2 for 2 speakers.
The rest I have no idea what they are.

You need speaker cables to sub or amp.

Some products use different colouring. Maybe the 9 pin connector is for head deck to speakers.

Pioneer SX-P720 circuit diagramn and wiring diagram wanted please i really need it for pioneer GR-Z460

What do you mean by the leads are "flat type" on the Marantz? Are you referring to the speaker wire output terminals? If so, the graphic equalizer should be connected to the pre-amp input of the amplifier, not the speaker level outputs.

I looking for speaker wires diagram for equalizer realistic 12-1253. Please thanks

First, I'm not a Realistic representative.

*** Following is for information only.***
* Input will be 2 channel RCA jacks that connect to the radio OR they are the speaker wires from the amplified radio (1 to 20 watts)
* The outputs are probably 4 wire pairs for; Front-left, Frount-Right, Back-Left, Back -Right.
* I don't think there was a 5th speaker pair for sub-bass as it wasn't needed for the current music at the time. (You had to 'fake it' by adding a low frequency filter and a separate power amp to the sub.)
*I used to fake it by taking the Left-Right 'Hot' wires to a separate amp. This combined "mono" signal had both left and right merged together. But the sound was 'tinny' so you needed a bass boost amp.
* Looking at the pictures on eBay, looks like all the wires were dedicated plugs. May need to look for standard Auto audio plug layouts for stock cars as these units were to be dropped into a stock car with minimal modifications (to the car)
* Wire color standards; https://knowledge.sonicelectronix.com/car-audio-and-video/accessories-and-installation/wiring-harness-color-standards/
* After Market harness;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MizxeSoor0
* Sorry, unable to find (free) manual download. Every site listed has been blocked or deleted. You may be able to check ebay for manual. But like most old electronics this falls into "Antiques"

How to hook up a 7 band pioneer equalizer great 470 to a Kenwood kr-v6030 receiver

Connecting an Equalizer to a Receiver Before beginning, purchase RCA cables. In order to run the signal from a stereo receiver to the graphic equalizer and then on to the amplifier, two sets of RCA cables are needed. These are basic cables used to connect auxiliary components like record players and CD players. The length of the RCA cables should be about the same length as the distance between the receiver and equalizer.

1. Connect Graphic the Equalizer to the Receiver

The first step in this setup is to connect the graphic equalizer (EQ) to the receiver. Most receivers will have preamp-in and preamp-out connections. Some have tape monitor connections. It's preferable to connect the EQ to the preamp-in or preamp-out because the tape monitor won't allow for connection to the amplifier as well.

2. Connect the RCA Cables

The first set of RCA cables should connect the receiver and equalizer. Connect one pair to the preamp output channels and the other end to the left and right input channels on the EQ. These are on the back side of the equalizer. Usually, the colors will correspond to the RCA plugs. That means connect the red plug to the red jack and the white plug to the white jack. Then connect the second pair of RCA cables between the receiver and the amp. Match the colors in the same way.

3. Connect the Amp to the Receiver

Now the amp can be connected to the receiver via RCA cables in the amp inputs on the receiver. This will create a loop from the receiver through the EQ and amp and back to the receiver so that all three units are connected.

4. Test Graphic Equalizer

Turn on the receiver, amp and equalizer. Once they are powered up, try controlling the sound with the equalizer knobs. They should fine tune the music according to your preferences. It's easy to change the frequency response or tone of the music with the equalizer knobs.

I have an old integrated amplifier and an old BSR EQ-3000 stereo frequency equalizer. i just bought a used bose 901 speaker set. how do i hook-up the bose 901 equalizer in this system?

Hook the signal source to the equalizer input and the equalizer output signal to one of the signal inputs on your amp. This is one way, but this way only one signal source will go through the equalizer (unless it has several signal inputs and a source selector switch).

The other way (inserting the equalizer between the preamp and the main amp) is:

If your amp has RCA connectors on the back named "preamp out" (or similar) and "power amp in" (or similar) that have slugs connecting them, remove the slugs, hook the "preamp out" signals from the amplifier unit to the signal inputs on the equalizer and outputs from the equalizer to the "power amp in" inputs on the amplifier.

Basically, what you do is that you insert the equalizer between the preamplifier section and the power amp section of the integrated amplifier so that you can still select the signal source without having to switch any signal cables (however, i can't say if your amp has got this type of "slug" connection feature between the preamp and the power amp on the rear panel, so i'm not sure which way you'll have to hook it up).

Hope you can make it work the way you want.

regards

Hi, I just purchased a used set of 901s with the original active equalizer. they are both series VI and were bought together. Unfortunately, the man misplaced the installation instructions for the...

If no Amp is used, connect jacks ( Left, Right) from your receiver output to Bose equalizer Input ( L, R) where it says Amplifier. Then also under where it says Amplifier, connect jacks from Output to your speakers. This would require the type of speaker wires that are RCA (plug in, red and white) on one end bare wire on the other to the speakers.
I don't know what the output is on your Kenwood, but if it's low watts, an amp is much better to crank those Bose. It's a different connect with an amp. Go L &R from the receiver to Equalizer as before, then from equalizer to amp Input where it says Tuner. then hook bare speaker wires to back of amp to Bose speakers.
You should have full use of Bose controls. The Monitor button is for an extra component that can be hooked up on the back, right side of equalizer.
