I have an apple computer, with Safari Internet Access which goes right to my verizon email account. I then type my gmail address in the google window to get to my gmail. I created a new gmail account today because I plan to cancel my verizon email account but I need to check my old gmail account and transfer the mail. How do I access the old gmail account?
Each Gmail account ought to have its own password. Often, people let their software "memorize" the password, but after some time tend to forget what it was.
I set up my Gmail accounts to "POP" settings so that they actually "download" the incoming mail locally to my computer. This way I've got ALL the mail I want to keep ON my computer, meaning I don't have to use online access to Gmail to get it.
Please go to Gmail, then click your name in the top right of Gmail.
When you click on your name, you'll then see a pop-out menu appearClick Sign Out
This will then sign you out and enable your 18002430019 web browser to recognize that you are no longer signed into any account (and you can only be signed into one at a time)
Go back to sign in to Gmail
Type your original email address and password, then log in, and you'll be set.
If have any other query then get connected with Gmail Customer care.
What is the reason why it won't accept your password? (what is the text written?)

Hi Cher,
Most likely, you're using the wrong password. Most times this is because you have accidentally enabled CAPS LOCK when you were creating the account, or you were using the numeric pad whilst it was disabled (hence you didn't type any numbers in the password, although you thought you were). Try to login and use the password you know but enable CAPS LOCK or disable NumLock before you type it (i.e. try replicating what your keyboard status was)
If unsuccessful, either give up the account and create a new one or try calling Google support - but keep in mind they may suspect you're trying to hack into someone's account, unless you know all the details AND you're using 2 way authentication (i.e. you have added a mobile number where you can receive an SMS with a code)
Good luck!
