Imy freezer is frosting up so I pulled everything out and cleaned it. Found a layer of ice on the bottom. That explains the frost. I kept the door open and found that water is coming out the vents I think. I pulled the back and there is no frost and the drain pan is empty? What can I do now?

The problem is ice build up on the back wall. The noise you hear is the fan blades hitting the ice. On the back wall water gets trapped, it then builds up over time, and a big ball of ice forms and blocks the fan. Take off the back wall, defrost the build up and cut the insulation off as above. The water will no longer get trapped and the problem will not come back.

Hi, The defrost drain is plugged. UNPLUG the refrigerator. Remove the rear inside panel in the freezer section and locates the drain hole below the evaporator coils. You will have to melt the ice in the drain hole and flush it out with hot water.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

yep, total defrost is the 1st thing to do. if you want to speed the process, see the following page how to do is good luck
This problem seems to be two sided. A refrigerator
defrost it is supposed to take the water from defrost down a pipe located
behind the freezer rear wall to a pan below the refrigerator where there is a
fan blowing warm air over the water to evaporate back into your home or
business. If that drain is blocked your refrigerator will accumulate a large
block of ice and frost behind the rear panel of freezer and temperatures will
warm considerably in fresh food compartment and freezer. Here is one site I want you to read over=> Leaking Refrigerators Just What may Be Happening and here=> Leaking Refrigerators here is a link to a service manual=> LFX25960xx Service Manual Let
me know if this service manual is close enough to your model number. At this point I am looking for air blockage behind the rear panel of freezer. If air is being blocked by ice and frost you can use a hair drier to help speed you up while melting ice. If drain is blocked use whatever you can to open the drain line mentions on the links I sent you to and let me know what is found, Thanks Sea Breeze
