Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled:
Enter Control Panel then Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer icon, then Printer Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save.
Now Automatic Duplexing should become available.
My LaserJet 1320 will no longer do duplex printing with Windows 8

SOURCE: Double sided printing

To fix this issue, select on the start button on the bottom left of your screen then click on Control Panel. In Control Panel click on printers. Left click on the OfficeJet G55 printer once then right click on it and select Properties. Click on the Printing Preferences button then on that window that pops-up select on the Finishing tab. If you have the correct drivers installed, you will find an option there (a check box) to enable to print to both sides. Check that if you have it.

Hope this solves your problem. Let us know if it don't.

Thanks.

Is there and upgrade for print perfect platinum that will work with windows 8.1

Do a web search for the company that makes it. That should find any updates.

I'm not an expert on windows 8 but I'm certain there might be an option in Windows 8 to let the software run under Windows 7. For more information visit the Microsoft website.

Maybe the problem is the OS with which you work, then evaluates the importance oftwo-sided printing.

If the problem persists with your Windows XP might be mechanical failure, if so, yourprinter problem is that your ADU (automatic duplexer unit) no longer works. You canget another printer or changing ADU.

good luck
