If its leaking during the fill cycle, its one of the water valves (solenoids) or associated hoses, loose clamps, etc. If its leaking during draining its the drain hoses, pump, clamps etc. Easiest way to tell. Pull it out, if you can remove the back, run it and look for the leak. Just don't touch anything while its running, you don't want to lose a finger or get electrocuted.

SOURCE: my front loader washing machine

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(Check this first- it's a common problem!)

I suspect that it is the conditioner/softener tray which needs a thorough clean, paying particular attention to the sentences in BOLD
-------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-

  • Top catch- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
  • release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
  • lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube but on others the cover is part of the tray's plastic top. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Elite he 3t front loader. Why does it leak water at beginning of rinse and spin cycle only?

Is it leaking from the tray top left corner? Mine was because it was not level. IT was level left to right but not front to back. The front was lower than the back. Raised both front feet, no more leaking.

Bosch avantixx front loader leaking underneath machine? machine only 2 years old

  • You will find a small door on the front bottom of the washing machine.
  • Open it.
  • Unscrew the filter and rinse it with running water.
  • Put it back in place and repeat the above steps in reverse order.
This should solve your leakage problem.

you have poor contact with the left lid hinge and the lid switch.1st open the lid and check the 2 phillips head screws on the left side of the hinge.if they are loose tighten them and try mach.if the screws are tight, the lid switch might need to be replaced or adjusted.there will be 1 screw in each corner of the back of the console facing down.remove and flip console up,if there are no screws, take a putty knife and slide under front left and right corner of console and flip console up.the lid switch will be on left.if it is not broken out of socket, adjust hinge bar underneath switch by removing switch and bending silver bar up SLIGHTLY

Water leaking out slightly from detergent dispenser draw and is starting to rust down left hand front side of machine, checked all water supply and drain hoses but leak appears to be coming from high up...

Your water pressure may be a liitle too high for the machine to handle. Try turning the water valves for the hot and cold water down a bit to reduce the pressure and try it again.
