Cannot get full screen picture

Full screen resolution depends on the source signal that you feed to your LCD TV. Most often, the signal come in 16:9 screen size, which sometimes show big black portion on both top and bottom of screen. To maximizes screen display, you can adjust the screen size of your LCD TV through remote control, this features are available in most LCD TV. you will have the option to choose Full Screen Mode, 16:9 screen resolution or many others to choose from (most case about 3 to 4 screen size.

Hi,
Sounds like you have a bad convergence circuit, it's what lines up your picture so the colors are correct. Most brands (excluding RCA) use the same basic design. There are 2 big ICs called STKs that normally fail, some resistors or fuses may also go. Its about $300-$400 bucks to have someone repair it. If you want to try it yourself, this link TVrepair will take you to a site that sells kits with the parts and step by step instructions on how to fix it. Good luck

Why did my picture become big so I can not see the sideline information

Press the RATIO button repeatedly to select the desired picture format. You can also adjust Aspect Ratio in the OPTION menu.
  1. Set By Program. Selects the proper picture proportion to match the source’s image. (4:3 → 4:3, 16:9 → 16:9)
  2. 4:3. Choose 4:3 when you want to view a picture with an original 4:3 aspect ratio, with gray bars appearing at both the left and right sides.
  3. 16:9. Choose 16:9 when you want to adjust the picture horizontally, in a linear proportion to fill the entire screen.
  4. Horizon. Choose Horizon when you want to adjust the picture in a non-linear proportion, that is, more enlarged at both sides, to create a panorama view.
  5. Zoom 1. Choose Zoom 1 when you want to view the picture without any alteration. However, the top and bottom portions of the picture will be cropped.
  6. Zoom 2. Choose Zoom 2 when you want the picture to be altered, both horizontally extended and vertically cropped. The picture taking a halfway trade off between alteration and screen coverage.
  7. Cinema Zoom. Choose Cinema Zoom when you want to enlarge the picture in correct proportion. Note: When enlarging or reducing the picture, the image may become distorted. You can adjust the enlarge proportion of Cinema Zoom using D / E button. The adjustment range is 1~16.

Out of focus

There might be a dioptic adjust dial for the viewfinder. Check your manual and if so, look at menu while adjusting until the text is the clearest.

TV turns on, but picture is red/black

you can try the main board and the control board first (this is the lesser of two evils), if that doesn't do it, it's definitely your sustainer board is bad.

Screene size

Ok this is called Blooming, this is when the signal intesifier becomes overloaded and the signal becomes overenergized and thus unviewable. This is not an adjustable proble even thoug for a time you can force the picture "shrink" but this is not a fix, it just hides the problem. I suggest that you fide a shop on FixYa that can look at you set and diagnose which components are at fault. You can also take the unit to a Tv shop in your area if that is easier for you.

Picture problems

Sounds like a problem in the main power regulator circuit, such as a bad capacitor or regulator IC or transisitor. There are no user serviceable parts inside these sets and every thing is soldered into place. I recomend that you call in a trained service tech to assist you with this repair.
