Changing a Muncie Elect. pto over to a different IH 4700. do I need to install wires directly from the + and - @ Batt.

Generally speaking it is a bad idea, even dangerous, to connect power directly from the battery on a 12 volt system. You will get the full amperage of the battery delivered to the attachment. Result may be damage to the attachment or to you. Almost always get power from a distribution box (fuse box) on the machine and run it through an appropriately sized fuse and use appropriately sized wire. Remember the rule that Amps X Volts = Power. You probably have a 12 volt system. The attachment should have some indication on it or in the papers that came with it stating the maximum power dissipated. Plug those numbers in and solve for the size of fuse to use.

Why car won't crank?

What make vehicle an year an model . You need to look at power distribution diagram an see where those fuse's get B+ voltage from . Code reader saying not connected would suggest the PCM/ECM has no power either . Go to http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams . Enter vehicle info . year ,make , model engine size . Then under system click on electrical distribution , subsystem click on power distribution . Then you can trace were power to those fuse's comes from . Do you know how to read a wiring diagram ? go on you tube an check out videos on how to read wiring diagrams .

I am putting doors on my 1984 ford f150 from a 1985 ford firo which has power windows I need a diagram to wire power to the switches

You don't need a diagram, just power thru the doors at the hinge. Run 2(two) wires, one black and one red, thru an opening at the door hinge, even if you have to make the opening. Go to any fuse in the panel and find which is the hot side by pulling the fuse and test for the hot side. Stick a fuse tap on that side of the fuse and put the fuse back in. Get this fuse tap from any auto parts store. Get a pack of female spade connectors to connect the red wire of the wire size needed. Size 10 will do for this. Get some size 10 straight connectors also. Connect the red wire to the hot wire going to the window motor. Connect the black wire to the ground wire on the motor. now connect the other end of the black wire under the head of a bolt under dash. First in mind though, be sure the fuse you connect the red wire to is switch activated when on and off when switch is off. Power windows are great when you gottem. I plan on doing my Toyota with window power units from an Oldsmobile. It will happen. Breeze on Bro.

Red light is on in the back of my t300 tower speakers

That is the standby mode but if its not kicking out of standby mode it could be a fuse issue

The T300 uses a 2.5A fuse.

To replace the fuse:

1. Unplug the AC cord from the AC power source,

then remove the AC power cord from the speaker's

power connector.

2. Remove the fuse cap with a small, flat blade screwdriver

(see diagram 2).

3. Remove the fuse from the fuse cap

(see diagram 3).

4. Replace the fuse inside fuse cap with another metric

5X20mm size fuse

5. Replace the fuse inside the cap, replace the fuse

and cap in the power connector (see diagram 5).

6. Connect the AC power cord to the speaker and

raise it upright.
7. Connect the power cord to an AC power outlet

The clock works but when I turn the cd on, there is no power.

Is a fuse blowing when the CD turns on? If so, it is either the fuse is not large enough to power the CD player, or there is a short within the player itself. Typical fuse sizes for a car CD player vary from 5 to 15 amps, but be sure to see what size is specified in the manual for your specific player.

If not, check the voltage on the main + power lead with the CD attached. If you see a sudden voltage drop when you activate the CD, you likely have a bad connection between the power source and the CD player, or between the CD player and ground. Check crimp terminals, connections at the battery or fuse panel, or any other point where wires have been joined. Remember to check both the positive (+) and negative connections. A faulty connection on either end may permit enough power to supply the clock, but not enough when the additional load for the CD player is required.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Amp is not coming on

the fuse may not be working, you could try a larger sized one, also if you have the old power cable try it again with a larger fuse in place, if it worked before its likely to just be the fuse wasnt big enough, check all the other connections are in the right place, if they all are and you know the amp hase worked before then it could only realy be the fuse isnt big enough or the power lead is faulty.

Blown fuses

I used to have one of those amps also (nice amp btw) Did you try another fuse of the same size?
Is it blowing fuses everytime you put one in or did it just blow that one fuse ?
Is the conection on the battery solid and clean of corrosion build up? Because that is a good amp and if wired properly shouldnt blow out or anything and so if the speaker is not blown then maybe connection is weak somewhere? I would try disconnecting the speakers from it and try a new fuse and if it does not blow the new fuse than amp is ok? and if it does blow the new fuse right away then there must be a short somewhere in the wire or the amp. then disconnect the fuse again and reconnect the speakers and if the fuse blows with the speakers connected but doesnt blow with them disconnected then you know it is a blown speaker causing the problem.

Just currious but what size fuse do you have connected at the battery?
