There are 2 ways to do this.

The first is to get a microSD card reader, take the card out of the phone, put it into the card reader and plug that into your computer.
Then this will show up as a flash drive, and you will be able to drag-and-drop, or copy and paste.

The second is, when you have your phone connected to your computer, and ActiveSync is active, you can explore your phone and microSD card.

At the top of the ActiveSync window is the "Explore" button.
Click on it, and a new window should open up.
Click on "My Windows Mobile-Based Device", then "Storage Card"
You can drag-and-drop or copy and paste.

If you can't see the "Storage Card" folder, your phone may not recognize the microSD card.
The original Windows Mobile 5 (WM5), only recognized standard microSD cards up to 2GB.
You would have to upgrade the software/firmware to WM6 to recognize microSDHC cards of 4GB, 8GB and above.

It looks like you have Vista, I have XP, your results may vary.

How do I transfer.music.and.photos. from phone to PC? Thank you., Betsy

If you have difficulties connecting your cell phone to your computer and unable to download the photos and music files to your computer. If these files are stored on the SD card on your cell phone, then remove the SD card from your cell phone and insert this SD memory card into an USB memory card reader.
Connect the USB memory card reader into the USB port in your computer. The computer will see the SD memory card as an external storage device, you can then open the various folders on the SD memory card and copy the files to your computer.

Purchase a USB SD card reader and put your SD card in it and plug that into a USB port on your PC. You can then transfer your pictures to a new folder in your Pictures folder on your PC.

See Universal Memory Card reader: http://cgi.ebay.com/23-IN-1-USB-2-0-MEMORY-CARD-READER-CF-MS-XD-SD-/390284020936?pt=PCC_Drives_Storage_Internal&hash=item5adebd8cc8

After verifying the pictures transferred OK to your PC, place the SD card back into your phone and format it. Once formatted, you can transfer your pictures from your PC back to your SD card.

How to download music

The best way is with an SD/Mini sd memory card. Your phone can accept a 2gig card max. Get a SD reader or a base reader, to USB adaptor, get the SD/mini SD card w/adapter and just copy files from your computer to the mini card and insert that into the phone. Most cells do not allow downloads in the same way as computers do. Yes you can download themes and ring tones but not files like MP3's. Here are pictures of the tools needed to put music on your phone. his is the mini SD with adpt. mcneb_3.jpg here is the reader, mcneb_4.jpgHope this Fixya up.Please leave a testimonial if it does. Thank you for using Fixya.

What memory cards are compatible

Probably most of the small memory cards(sd, mini sd, micro sd-some may need an adaptor, sometimes included with your purchase)
Maybe, CF memory card, but most manufacturers tend not to include this format. Most definitely, you must have usb memory slot.

SD is slower

SD is approximately 1/2 the speed of CF, but the benefit is that SD uses almost 1/2 the power consumption of a CF card. Additionally, it leaves the CF slot available for different I/O cards.
