About a week and a half ago my data arrows turned white with a blue background. I cannot access any data at all, no updates to my news program, no web access, no email sending or receiving.
Normally of course the arrows are gray when no data is being sent or received, and animated when data is being sent or received. This is the larger set of up and down arrows next to the voicemail icon, not the two small left/right arrows above the signal strength. This still happens if I do a hard reset. Sprint had me do ##3282#, and all the settings they said to check were all ok. It won't connect to Power Vision or to Sprint Provisoning. Sometimes it has a timeout error, sometimes it just hangs and then cancels itself. I'm out of ideas!

Check this page for the problem - it's just a software patch required... took me less than 3 minutes.

SOURCE: Phone calls won't connect
I have the same problem with my Verizon treo 755p. It will dial but I can't hear anything from the other end. I can receive calls but when I answer, I can't hear the person on the other end. I guess I need to visit Verizon to have them look at it or give me another phone.

this happend to me about a month ago, right after this, it went into the hotsync problem. where it would try to connect to hotsyc using the cradle, even though it was not connected. and I basically had no use of my phone unless I actually had it connected to the computer, but asuming that I wasnt going to be able to carry my computer in my purse, there was no way I would be able to use it. after battling it out with support tech from verizon, and the store, palm finally said it was a bad phone and put it on the system that i needed a replacement. so verizon had to honor that. well 5 days later i recieved my new refurbished phone. which was working fine until about 4pm yesterday. I am getting no audio from incoming and outgoing calls, the speakers do work because I can hear audio from videos and ringtones fine. so after the drama of hard reseting again, verizon said that it was a bad phone, and I will be getting refurbished phone #2 with in the next few days. oh and anyone having this problem, after reading like a hundred forums, i came to find out that the connector for the usb port is very sensitive, any kind of moister, for water damage, to even having it in the restroom as you shower, can cause it to get a short in the port that it gives it enough of a charge that it's trying to start up hot sync. however the colored block problem also has to do with your memory card, but same thing, the ports are shorting out just enough to cause somekind of a malfunction. hope this helps
SOURCE: Palm Centro - no backlight
The LED light has simply burnt out. I get those issues all the time with customer's phones. It could be a result of something they did or it could be a defect in the phone--nonetheless it can be fixed at a service center. You would need a new screen is all.
It wouldnt be good to do this yourself because once you get inside of the device there is a somewhat complicated wiring and alot of tape that you must pull up and you dont want to damage a wire if you dont know what you are doing. As far as parts, there is no site that I have found with genuine Palm parts.
SOURCE: I have a palm centro how do u hard reset or whatever it is?
Hi.
If you do a hard or soft reset you'll loose the data on the phone but not the sim.
You can find the manual here: http://www.palm.com/us/support/handbooks/centro/centrorow_ug.pdf
Refer to pages 225 for reset instructions..
Cheers,
Ed
