Have had the same problem with a Ryobi 1000w invertor generator. The problem that you are experiencing is the low level oil switch. To confirm if this is the problem disconnet the low level oil switch (Yellow or Orange wire). Try and start the generator now, it should start with the first little tug on the recoiler. Once it is running, reconect the low level oil switch and see what happens then. Either it will cut out, then you know it is the oil level switch or it will continue running and the problem will go away. Please ensure you manually check the oil level first before starting.

Hi, I have a Kipor sinemaster 1000 generator that has been in storage for a few years added fresh fuel and engine started. The 12v dc works however when I plug an appliance in the main power plug there is...

The DC output for battery charging is from the engine alternator and is completely independent from the generator inverter.

As this is an inverter unit the typical polarization techniques for standard generators will not apply.

The ouput indicator being lit means the inverter input output should be good. This further implies a circuit disconnect state at the outlets. Try pressing the overload reset switch to make sure it is not in an odd state.

I have a Honda eu3000is generator that didn’t run, well Barkley ran on full choke. I unplugged all the wires to the inverter and started the generator and it fired right up. When plugged the inverter back...

I would suspect that the inverter is fine and would look towards carburetion. The inverter, in addition to supplying the correct voltage and current, monitors the current being drawn by your connected load. It controls that stepper motor on the top of the carburetor and increases the throttle to increase the engine power to support the load. (Mechanical power in = electrical power out.)
Start the generator and then add a small load to the outlet, 100 watt light bulb or something. I use a space heater that I can turn on just the fan. See if it still stays running. Then increase the load (with my heater I go from fan only to the first level heat 1000w) and watch the top of the carburetor to see if the inverter increases the throttle to compensate for the increased load. By the sounds of what you are describing, it will go to full throttle and the engine will die because of a restriction on the available fuel. If that is the case, take the carb off and clean it. Or if you are not the carburetor rebuilding type, buy a new one.. they are only about $80. Not a bad fix for a $2000 generator :)

Stops generating and just idles

Check if there any alarm on monitor by pressing button several times. It has code like E-number. Replace spark plug, fuel filter. Clean carburator, spark arrester. Check wiring of thermosensor.

Yamaha EF4500Ise Gennerator won't produce power.

Doe's it have a thermal couple on it? If so it could be bad and when it heats up it is killing your power.

I have a Yanmar 4.5 KVA Generator running into a Trace 2.5 KVA inverter/charger, the inverter requires 205-220volts to operate, once the inverter connects the voltage drops on the genny over a ten second+-...

try adjusting the gen voltage at no load to run at 240 volts
when the load comes on it will drop back to 220-235 volts
check the load output from the inverter as 2.5 kv is nearly 80% of the genset duty cycle
4.5 KV is start up KV and the duty KV is around 3..8 kv not the plated 4.5 kv
to get constant 4.5 kv you will need a 5.5-6 kv unit
if the current draw from the inverter is excessive , the engine may not have enough in reserve to over come the load and will not pick up the rpms
take the gen set and the inverter to a shop that has a calibrated load bank to test accurate power output to determine if the engine needs an overhaul

Genny won't shut down

your control board is most likely bad.

Generator hard to start. Kick back

This sounds like the timing is off. Remove the spark plug and pull the cord to see if there is less tension. If there is less tension then you know that the pull cord is fine. Do a compression check on the cylinder, it should be around 100psi. Remove the valve cover and check to see if valves are moving when your pulling the cord. The valves could have came off the rockers.
