I've just purchased a Dual Voltage 1GB Kingston MMC card for my Nokia 6630 only to be dissapointed when trying to copy files over to the phone. I use the phone to play MP3 files and when I try and copy an mp3 file to the phone using the Nokia software I get the error 'Operation could not be completed' However when using the same method to copy to the phones internal memory this error does not occur.
I've tried the usual formatting the memory, turning off and on the phone, PC etc but to no avail. I had heard that there may be issues with the firmware version of the phone which may be causing issues, has anyone else had a similar problem. I'm using the firmware version 6.03.08 13-02-06 RM-1 which I guess is fairly old, could this likely be my problem?
Thanks

Why don't you try copying mp3 files to the MMC using a card reader. that would tell you whether your phone update is required or not cause if it works well with the card reader then you could blame the phone. Sometimes trying to update the phone software through the net may cause the phone to crash and that would be even worse isn't it. so be aware tc
Beware of updating your firmware if your phone is on Orange. The newer versions of the Orange firmware have an utterly appalling "homescreen" that you can't remove. You can't even go back to the old version. :( It has so many bugs it's unreal, and just to open a received text message takes 6 clicks instead of one. It also crops your wallpaper and makes it blurry. It really reduces the usability and functionality of the phone.
I'd go for the card reader option to load the music onto your phone. It's likely to give faster transfers, too.
