Check for broken suspension components. Shouldn't be hard to find the culprit, if it is grinding it is making metal shavings and should be able to look for shiney metal parts.

SOURCE: Loud engine knocking on 2001 Ford Focus

Sounds to me like a very common problem has occured to your neighbor. If this is a SOHC engine, one of the valve seats in the number 4 cylinder has fallen out. I'm sure it has damaged the head and the piston. Stop trying to run it or you might blow a hole in the cylinder wall or break a rod or both.

Wont start keeps making clicking noise

If you can hear a click (quite loud) from the engine compartment, but the starter won't crank, this also could be caused by discharged battery-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hear a loud ratteling noise coming from where

The rattle is likely a loose shield or a bad catalytic converter. As for the loud banging, Have you checked the front U-joints behind the brake rotors. As for the Reverse noise? Auto or stick shift?

Front end is grinding loudly in rhythm with well turns. I had the sway bar link break, replaced it but the loud rhythmic grinding is still there. any guidance?

if the noise is at wheel speed then what ever is causing the noise is rotateing, could be a drive shaft or wheel bearing, jack the car up at the wheel you think is the problem and ceck for ecessive movement to pin point your fault. hope this helps

Backing up very loud grinding like bearings

I would investigate the transfer case. By your description here it sounds as if the gears inside are worn and the drive chain inside is rubbing, causing the loud noise you hear.

I had front brakes and rotors replaced on my 2000 Durango. Within a week I heard something like a grind coming from the right front tire. And tonight I heard the same noise when braking but it was much...

sounds like something was jammed, or loose. I'd recommend taking it back to where the brakes were done and have them check it out in case something they did is messed up.

Front brakes replaced and then heard a loud bang

A noise like that in brakes are not something to guess at, or play around with. Call the place that did the brake job, and explain to them what happened. My guess is that they will come to you, or advise you to very carefully bring it to them for a look. Might have been a stone wedged or something but don't take the chance, have it looked at, a.s.a.p. and don't drive it if you don't have to until then.
