Error code 5030

What that means is that there is an internal hardware failure in this printer and it's actually gonna require a service. It's actually an internal hardware failure that's going on within the printer. You would have to contact the Canon tech support USA and they will be able to give you further guidance on what to do.

I have a canon MP550 which has thrown up the error 6C10. I have tried the solutions suggested at FixYa, but to no avail. My printer's only 6 months old. Any suggestions? Regards Jan

It is my pleasure to guide you.

I have done some extensive research on your 'error 6C10'.

I have looked at the following:

I realize that the '6C00' error is not exactly your but the manual does not have the 6C10. You can download that at the above link.

I also look at the http://www.retrevo.com/support/Canon-MP500-Multifunction-Printers-manual/id/259bh640/t/2/ Canon Pixma MP500 Users Guide Manual. There are several codes but not the 6C10. You can download this above as well.
Good luck and please post back that you are successful, giving thumbs up, or if I can be more helpful.

My Canon Pixma 630 does not print in black and white only in colour. Do you know why. It has worked previously. Thank you

moust likely you have run out of ink. you can go to a refill store to get it refilled with ink or you can replaced with a new original one.

6c10 error on my canon mp630. There does not appear to be any paper debris and I have been turning the rotten thing off and on for weeks now to get it to work

It's probably a waste absorber issue.

A fix from FixYa Support:

1. Start with printer off
2. Press and hold resume Button (triangle in the circle) and click "Power" button. Green led should be on
3. While holding the Power button, release the Resume Button.
4. Without releasing the Power Button, click "Resume" button for two times and release Both Buttons.
5. Click "Resume" for four times then soon click "Power" button, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber).
6. Turn off the printer and turn on again

Hope this helps.

Canon PIXMA IP3600 Service error 6C10, and doesnn't print at all

Try keeping the paper only in the bottom tray (there's a tray in the bottom) Try pulling any paper out of the top and just close that top tray. Open up the head so that u can see the ink cartridges and turn the printer on and off and maybe it will center itself again. If it's still not working (even if lights aren't red and print head wont align in the center) try manually moving the head back and forth like 18 times so you can lubricate that rail in the back that's holding it. After that, re-turn it off and on again.
