SOURCE: I can hear only the background noise and not what the people are saying while watching a movie on my computer.

Resinstall audio drivers. Something went bad with yours.

Only background sound, no dialogue when playing blu ray

do you have a center channel speaker hooked up? Most dialogue in movies should come from the center channel.

I am playing a movie and i can hear the background music but when actors talk i hear nothing ..

The equalizer set up is filtering voice audio. Check the settings and place them in the default mode.

The speakers wil not play on the background and the center.

If you connected to a 5.1 surround card and checked and they are connected ok you can hear all the speakers when you play music, movies that are in 5.1 format only. If you want to hear also all of them if you listen to stereo movies/music you must set the sound card to emulate multi channel. Also the player you use to listen music/wath movies must be set to 5.1 and must accept Dolby Digital/ DTS decoding if your sound card doesn't(eg. VLC media player-has integrated DD and DTS decoding and codecs for all tipes/formats).

I can't hear people talking when i watch a movie?

I had the same problem and found that there was a connection problem with the center speaker. Do a sound check on all speakers and see if the sound is coming out of the center one. If not then just check you have connected it properly.

Great sound, no voices

Mine was the center speaker wire was not properly seating in the speaker. This is where all the sound for the voices come out. I thought it was something major. try checking them again if you haven't already.

DVD plays partial sound

Check your speaker connections it sounds like you have a 5.1 or higher sound system. 5.1 means left front speaker, right front speaker, center speaker, right rear speaker, left rear speaker and subwoofer.

Voices in movies all get channeled to the center speaker (you can usually hear it a bit from the right and left front speakers as well). If your center speaker is disconnected or not working, you will only hear the background sounds.

No sound

Sounds to me like your center speaker is either not connected, or somehow not working. The not working part could be explained by a failed speaker or, possibly a failed amp in the unit.
