SOURCE: Find the antilog on the TI-83 Plus for finding pH in chemistry problems

I reccently had the same problem, but I have a Ti-84 Plus, and I am disgusted by how poorly this matter is covered by Texas Intruments. Esp. since the solution is rather simple.

The antilog key is [2nd] [log] or the 10^x. On your screen it should apear as 10^( and then you just input the value that you want to find the antilog of.

When used to solve pH problems remember to input the pH value as a negative number, since pH= -log[H+] then [H+]= antilog(-pH).

Hope that helped))))) ^^

SOURCE: having trouble with my TI-83 plus

Hello,
Some old junk is in memory. Reset the memory to defaults and everything will be fine. It is a good practice to clear memory before a new calculation.
To reset memory
Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All ram][2:Reset] [EMTER] . Clear screen and enter the functions you want to graph.
Hope it helps.

How to use the ti- 36 pro to calculate compound interest ?

Assuming you are already familiar with the functions of your calculator computing compound interest is a formula in and of itself. Look at this link to the video on computing compound interest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwb3hGla4qw
Buy the way, computing compound interest is easier with a financial calculator like the HP12C
using the Solver you can enter in the equation if you know it.

A $25000 home equity line of credit based on 7.8% APR annualized

No. To the nearest cent, the monthly interest is $162.50. The monthly payments only pay the interest, without reducing the principal.

Yes you can use it, here is the formula: Y= V(t+ (i/c))^(tc) V=amount put in, t=time, i=intrest rate, c= amount of times it is compounded.
(I know this because I have a TI-83 calculator)

How long will it take wendys $4000 investment,

Press APPS and select the Finance app. Select the TVM Solver.

Enter -4000 for PV, 0 for PMT, 6000 for FV. Be sure you use the (-) key for PV, not the - key. P/V and C/Y should both be 1 and PMT should be END.

If you want 5% annual interest compounded month, enter 5/12 for I%. If you simply want 5% annual interest, enter 5 for I%. Go to N and press ALPHA ENTER to see the number of periods (months or years according to what you entered earlier in this paragraph).
