Why is the swing arm that is under the upper drawer not getting any water?

We've moved the drawer from the upper level to the lower level, and it doesn't work in either position.

The pump may have failed, or the pump intake (under the lower drawer) may be clogged with crud from years of washing dishes. It can be removed for cleaning, although it's not a super-simple job.

SOURCE: Water not getting to the upper level, dishes not cleaned.

Penrod, sounds like a circulation problem. Two things to check first. make sure the upper spray arm is not clogged with debris or split. Second is to twist and remove the filter and clear out any debris where the water enters the circulation pump impeller. If something has jammed the impeller, you would have to remove the dishwasher, remove the tank, remove the circulation motor and clean out the impeller...Catriver...post back.

Dig deeper, until you find filters. Those are probably clogged. You may need a screwdriver...

My double drawer kitchenaid dishwasher sold red light and beeping during cycle wont turn off and runs even with door open, turned breaker off

If you using upper or lower drawer and this shows up it means the dishwasher has water under the filter board which located on the bottom under the lower drawer. You have to disconnected power, removed the lower drawer, clean the water, replaced filter board, check the dishwasher for leaking.

Water fills the bottom of dishwasher, lower spray arm still seems to turn/spray but no movement or water coming out of uppoer spray arm. We took apart the lines to see if there was blockage -- none.

If there is no blockage, your pump may need to be rebuilt or replaced. If your machine uses a solenoid valve to control weather the pump is washing or draining. The drain valve may be stuck somewhat open, diverting wash water down the drain. Or the wash valve may be not opening fully. Different machines work in different ways.

How do you replace the electrical cord on a dd603

Hello,
You would need to remove the lower drawer and the plastic cap on the mains filter board. The link below explains how to remove the lower drawer and access the main filter board.
The plastic cap is held down with small tabs, depress the tabs and slide the cover off. The power cord is screwed down to the mains filter.

My Mita DC 1860 is showing that the lower A4 drawer is out of paper yet the drawer is full. I have on done the drawer and checked for paper fragments after a jam. All has been vacuumed thoroughly. I'm...

On the cassette, there is a floating plastic piece that is on a hinge so it can swing up and down. This arm is supposed to come in contact with the paper as it is raised, and depending on the elevation of the arm, it will display the paper amount. This would be the first suspect for me, I would physically look for this plastic arm and ensure that it is free swinging and does not stick. Also, open and close the drawer and listen closely for the lift motor to activate. If you hear the lift motor, then you most likely have a problem with that plastic piece.

About the only things that move in the cabinet other than the water pump is the spray arms. The lower arm should be screwed down fairly tightly (plastic screw), but the upper arm is held in place with a plastic friction plug--it tends to wobble more. Spin both arms by hand to see if either hits something (have the drawers in). The lower arm has metal clips on the ends which may be coming loose. They are just clipped onto the arm edges. Hope this helps!

Very low pressure getting to spray arms

I removed the lower spray arm, and then the filter. I found that there was a lot of buildup under the filter area. I scraped the buildup off. I found that it was restricting the input of water flow to the pump

Sub-Zero 642 ice maker

When the drawer is opened, trhe "full arm" swings up and out of the way. When the drawer is pushed back closed, the arm should swing back down. If it is unobstructed, the icemaker should make ice.

One thing to try is with the ice tray removed, push the plate (that holds the ice tray) back into the freezer. Lift the full arm up and down. It should easily move and you should be able to hear a slight "click" when moving up/down. If not, you might have a bad switch in the ice maker unit...replacement time.
