My Lg refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer works. I replaced the main circuit board due to the control panel on the inside not lighting up properly but it still is not cooling. Any suggestions?

They both cool off the same compressor, the fan on the refrigerator side is probably not working, check that fan

SOURCE: norcold rv refrigerator freezer

Make sure the thermister is attached firmly to the fins in the back. The boards on a Norcold can be reset a service center familiar with this process is your best bet. It takes disconecting the board and then shorting it out best to leave it to some one who is familiar.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite bottom freezer refridgerator

I just went through this with my refridgerator and actually posted one of the questions. Here is what I found ........

In the freezer compartment behind the panel there is an evaporator fan which pulls cold air from the freezer and pushes it up into the refrridgerator compartment. If the fan is not working it is one of three things.. 1) there is so much frost in the fan area the fan blade is stopped and cannot push the cold air into the refridgerator compartment or the air channel is blocked. 2) there is no electricity going to the fan (usually tied to the door switch of the refirdgerator compartment, and 3) the motor is dead and will have to be replaced.

Solution to #1 - defrost but there is another problem in the "frost-free" part of the system which must be addressed or the frost will return and it will happen again in the future.

Solution #2 - check to see there is power to the fan. (most are 110VAC but some are 100VDC. Use a meter and check)

Solution #3 - If there is power, the motor is dead. Replace the motor. Be aware that AC and DC motors are different and replace per manufacture's specifications.

Why is my LG french door act like is has no power?

Probably a bad fuse on the main board. Fuse is not replaceable so either you have do a workaround (search LG refrigerator fuse repair for several fix videos and how-to's) or you have to replace the whole control board (part EBR41531302 I believe, but double check with your the part vendor before ordering).

Check the fuse by pulling the refrigerator out, unplugging, taking off back control board panel, and checking the fuse for continuity.

Refrigerator section does not cool. Light or LED behind refrigerator control knob does not light so you can not see the current setting. Freezer section works fine as does the freezer control knob light.

these refrigerators are notorious for a bad main/mother-board being bad, especially if recently you had light bulbs have burned out in the refrigerator compartment as this creates a surge on this board and burn the printed circuit trace on the board,it is located in the lower rear of the unit and is housed in a plastic case and if you open the case and look at the board and case there will be a burn spot on the plastic case also

Whirlpool Refrigerator not working -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all, I have a Whirlpool ED22PC SxS fridge which has stopped cooling on both the...

Hi. Due to the fact that the fans are not operational, this will confirm that the Main PCB has failed. This is the main power control board. It must be replaced, asap. The general location of this affected board will be just behind an access panel, near the compressor unit, or on the backside, mounted in the middle section of the unit.

Once the Main PCB board is replaced, the unit will return to its normal operating status.

We have a gsh25jftfww ge fridge. the temperature control panel (on front) does not light or work and fridge and freezer is not cooling. The light is still on in the refridgerator, but fan is not running...

Your refrig uses a main control board that is on a recall list .The board uses a WR55X10552 . The replacement board is WR55X10656 . I would suggest calling GE factory service and they will cover this under warrenty , due to the recall .

Frig side not working on Maytag MZD2766GEW

freezer not defrosting. probably adaptive defrost board in fridge.
take panel off freezer (inside, back panel). if all frozen, can defrost with blow dryer. best to remove fridge control panel (inside, top of fidge). access adaptive defrost board, jump test to f1 (i think) next to test. this should initialize defrost mode. buy new board.

Tried to replace the filter and after that the upp

I don't think replacing the filter had anything to do with your problem.  If the ice maker is working then the freezer is OK since they have the same cooling source.  I had the same problem with this model refrigerator six months after I got it (in 2/2007).  The cooling in the refrigerator section failed.  The refrigerator fan and the air duct as well as the mother board were replaced.  A year later the ice-maker fan froze up. It and the housing were replaced with improved models.  The mother board was also replaced again due to software changes related to the ice maker.  This model is also part of an Energy Star/LG case agreement to modify the circuits and provide a lifetime annual rebate payment.  Check it out and register on the LG web site.

Refridgerator & freezer not cooling much, ice crystals on inside of freezer

Need you to unplug and remove the back panel in freezer to examine the evaporator coil. Check the defrost element and the defrost thermostat. On the back of the refrigerator is a main control board located behind a panel screwed to the refrigerator back. With the power off through all of this I need you to inspect the control board for burn marks on both sides. Click on link below and enter your model or 1 of 34 models like yours. Place model GSH25JFR in model parts search this will lead you to the many similar models like yours. On diagrams on left of your screen count eight down that shows the circuit board. If no burn marks I will tell you how to test the other parts I mentioned,
Thanks, Sea Breeze
