Hoover f7458-900 leaking when placing tank on

Hello! Test the clean water tank to see if it is leaking. Fill the clean water tank with water on both sides. Hold the tank up and observe if water leaks from the valves underneath the tank. If either of the valves are leaking the clean water tank will need to be replaced. To order a replacement tank follow this link > Search Results. If the tank is not leaking, but the cleaner leaks when the tank is placed on it, this may indicate an internal issue with your pump. We would recommend taking the cleaner to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to locate the nearest service center to you. > Service Center Locator Hope this helps!

Detergent bottle keeps falling off, wont stay put and clean water isn't emptying at all

The tank assembly needs to be replaced. Keep your tank handle. The other problem is your water not dispensing. There are electric solenoids and a pump that control dispensing soap and water. Take it to a repair shop for complete diagnosis before you replace the tank. The new tank is better, both soap and water tanks are in one assembly

I have misplaced the directions for the Bissell powersteamer powerbrush. I need the directions for filling the u tank etc.

Release the handle and lay the machine handle
back to access the Tank.
2. Remove the Tank from the base of the machine by
lifting the Tank carry Handle.
3. Carry like a bucket to the sink. Rotate the Handle
forward to unlatch the lid. Lift off and set the lid aside.
4. Fill up the Bladder with clean hot tap water.
*Do not boil or microwave water as it can
destroy the Bladder.
5.
Replace the top of the Tank by matching the lid
and tank edges. Handle must be in the forward
position in order to replace lid. Rotate the handle
to the carrying position to latch the lid.
Note: Remember to secure the lid and test to
make sure it is secure before picking up the Tank.
6.
Place tank into machine base, seating firmly in place.
Rotate tank handle back into latched position. Bring
machine handle back into upright position.

1.
Lift the formula Tank up and out of the machine base.
2. To fill the Formula Tank, first unscrew the Cap
and Insert. Always use genuine BISSELL formulas
to maximize cleaning and for the safety of your
machine. Fill formula up to the line and replace the
Cap and Insert. Place Formula Tank back into the
base of machine, making sure it is seated securely.
Note: If bottle leaks, check for proper positioning
of red gromment and straw.

Emptying the powerbrush

Gently
press the Quick Release tabs on the Clean/Solution Tank
and slide the tank off of the unit.
Grab the Dirty/Collection Tank and pull to remove.
While at the sink, remove the Tank Cap by turning
approximately 1/4 turn counterclockwise and lift
out the cap.
Empty the tank. Rinse the Dirty/Collection tank with
warm water.
Replace cap and turn approximately 1/4 turn clockwise,
until snug.
Slide the Dirty/Collection Tank into the unit. Replace the
Clean/Solution Tank.

The tabs on the side is what locks the tank on, if they won't release the tank, then you may have to take apart to get it off and replace the tank.

Hoover F7431900

The tank you are talking about has the soap container attched to the back of the water tank, then probably you need to replace the tank. If this has different tanks, then you may have to replave the seals that the tank sits on.

Solution will not exit fresh water tank

The early models of this machine had a pretty ugly defect in the clean water tank. They had all kinds of problems with them and now have a completely different tank to replace the old style. It sounds like you have a defective tank. When the tank sits on the machine, there is a center pin in the tank support that pushes on the tank valve(s) and released the solution into the machine. One of the problems was that the hot water would cause the plastic of the tank to become too plyable and the preassure of the center pin would bend the plastic up and then the valves would not open. You may have to replace your tank. Contact the Hoover company and tell them that you are aware of the many problems they had with this machine and they may make compromises on a replacement tank. Good Luck.
