I would like to be able to dim the display for this clock radio. Is there a way?

There is a display button on the unit, if that does not dim the display, there is almost nothing you can do

When using the FM tuner I have to click buttons multiple times before it responds. It also does not keep the clock display up to date . . . acts like the processor is overloaded. This only occurs when...

I have the same problem and not just with the FM tuner. I have spoken to Aluratek about the sluggishness of this radio. Their reply was to not push the buttons ore than once. The radio will eventually work.

Face of clock looks faded. an 'E' before the time, radio wont

The E means you have tried to put an MP3 CD into it and it didn't work.  There is a button atop the clock radio that allows you to fade the backlight.

AUDIOVOX CDA 100 AM/FM/CD setting clock

SETTING THE CLOCK - AUDIOVOX CDA-100
  1. Turn the vehicle ignition and radio "on".
  2. Press and hold the Time/Frequency Selector button approximately 2 seconds until the time display begins flashing on the display panel.
  3. Within 5 seconds after the time display begins flashing press the Manual Down Turning button (<<) to adjust the hours and the Manual Up Turning button (>>) to adjust the minutes to the correct time.
  4. Five seconds after the last hour or minute adjustment is made, the time will be set in the unit and normal operation can resume.
Contact Audiovox.com or 1-800-688-3135 and they will email (PDA) or fax a copy of the manual.

No sound

other than just double checking your switches settings there really isn't much you can do ,as there really isn't any easy to replace parts inside and that would be cost prohibitive anyhow , but do remember it is a clock radio , if its set t o use the alarm the radio will not work and not the cd either , ck all your switches for proper setting , one may have got bumped by you or cleaning staff
this is the reason I use a sound bar/phone dock as I use it to charge my phone and play music all day at my desk , they only cost about fifteen bucks to buy , and best thing is there's nothing for anyone to mess with when im not there as it wont work without my phone docked in it !!
