Canon zr200 troubleshooting - my daughter has been using my son's old ZR200 to record video to 1GB memory cards (as opposed to recording to tape) but somehow the feature that was supposed to allow you to take still photos to car while recording video to tape seems to have gone nuts/into some auto mode?: the camera has started taking still photos at seemingly odd moments on its own!? Any ideas how to turn this feature off? (assuming it's not due to some short in basic circuitry)

The laser lens on the camera might need cleaning. Use a q-tip and 90% alcohol to clean it, then try it. If that doesn't help, try another disc. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid it might require servicing. Get a quote before you get it serviced, sometimes it's just better to buy another one. Good luck!

I think these firms who tell you silly prices for doing what is simple put these costs on because they dont want to do the work, I was told that a washer was going to cost me £190 on my bath taps, simply because I lived too far out of town and they did not want to take the job on.
By running your tape to and fro a bit (not too far) the door will open.

Maybe, It doesn't
work because the driver you installed. It is for other versions of operating
system. I am also using windows 7 like you.Dont worry, You can still use your old 
installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Before you
installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use
"troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program
installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatiblity". This will
allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just
reply back if it still doesn't work.:D
