Re: My dishwasher will start its wash progame and get...
There is a leakage in the dishwasher and the flood switch triggers during wash. This causes the pump to operate and continue to run as the flood switch remains switched. Best to find the source of leak either from door seal or drain hose.

Normally if you started the rinse cycle with water already in the base of the dishwasher it will immediately go into circulating the water through the wash arms. Do you hear the wash arms running when the washer is stuck at 11mins? Also when the washer is stuck at 73 mins are the wash arms running all the time or do you hear the pump operate at some stage? If you have the dishwasher manual available make sure the water pressure setting is at HI or LO depending on your rated mains water pressure.
Most dishwashers go through a pumping cycle to evacuate any water remaining from its previous run, before opening the water valve to let in fresh water.
The pump sits just below a screen on the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher.Generally, this pump is located in the far back of the dishwasher. You may need to remove the lower sliding rack to gain access to this part of the dishwasher.
Check to see if something is stuck into or below the screen, which may be stopping the pump from turning. This condition would cause the hum you describe. Use a flashlight to look first.
Be careful as you run your hand over the screen or over the pump impeller to feel for debris, because quite often the problem is that a glass has broken inside the dishwasher and a broken shard of glass is lodged in the screen, poking down into the pump. The first time I encountered this condition, I cut myself on these lodged shards of clear glass because they are nearly invisible in the poor lighting conditions which exist inside the dishwasher. It could also be a straw, bottle cap, or some other type of debris. If the screen is missing, a fork or spoon could be stuck in the pump impeller.
Your float may have got stuck or it's possible that you have water leaking into the bottom of the washer. In the bottom of the wash compartment, next to the drain you will find a plastic dome/mushroom (the float). You might need to rotate the bottom spray arm to see it.
Turn the washer on so that the pump starts to run, open the door and push down on the float. This should stop the pump running. When you let go of the float, if it rises back up on its own, then it's almost certain that you have water in the bottom of the washer. If this is the case please post back for further assistance. If the float stays down, then it may have simply got stuck.
Please try this simple test and post back with the results.
the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller. Disassemble and clean pump if necessary.
motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something
stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor
itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor
during wash/rinse cycle.
1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure. 2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. It sound like a pump issue. The pump is attached to the motor and forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher.
Look if the pump's impeller (a round plastic fan blade-type of device) spins around.
In case it doesn't spin, look if it doesn't blocked or stuck from any other reason.
Good luck
