Logitech pro9000 QC software not working

Hi

Just bought the Pro9000, love it...works on Skype and is Television quality!! But ....

1. I can not use the QC software dropdown list (take photo / video) nothing appears on screen 99% of the time and when it does,it freezes and has green lines through it ...I can however take great pics when on skype menu?

Can anyone help....should i return this camera, have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.

one thing I did do wrong was installed original disc when old cam was plugged in...ooopppsss but clean and did again...Q.but would this fault of mine have damaged the camera in anyway, ie causing the problems I have now????

took out insurance so can return it...PLEASE ADVICE XX thanks

    Thank you IrishDruid!

Good news is that I can now see pic in QC settings

Bad news is that it has green lines through it and jerky every 10sec for new image to appear

This is sooo frustrating....I see others have had a prob, I am windows XP and selected 32 instead of 64 as my info ddnt say 64!!

Is it worth me just returning and getting new cam ? or can we continue to sort it ???

thanks again xx ( yes i am a girl!!)

Looks like a software issue. First, download the latest version of the driver from the Logitech site:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/3056&cl=us,en?WT.ac=sc|downloads||dd

Next, go to control panel and uninstall the software and reboot the system. Disconnect the camera and the do a clean install. (Different from regular installation). Not sure what your OS is, but here are the procedures I wrote for Vista and XP:
For VISTA
For WinXP (Dont worry if the article is meant for mice/keyboards, it is the same for cameras as well).

Follow the procedure exactly and the problem should be resolved. (It would be better to take a print out of the procedure)..

Let me know how it goes..

Cheers!

Canon Pro9000 MarkII roller squeal

You do not use lubricant on printers. Clean all roller and bars with Q tip and acohol. Make sure alcohol is squeezed out so it does not drip inside printer. The noise should stop. If it does not it is the belt that drives the capstans (rollers) that is worn out.

I have a logictech pro9000 web cam & have the 4.1 version of skype. I can not see who i am on with butthey can see me. can you help me? Thank you in advance

What you are missing in your video calls is an automating happening in Skype.. you dont have to do anything. If it is not happening means that skype is not installed properly.
Go to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs and remove Skype from the PC. Now reboot and install skype after a fresh download. Now configure skype to use this webcam as default webcam and enjoy video calls. For more info read the link:

Cannot print 11x14 paper on my Canon Pro9000 printer.

The printing software you are using should have that size for you, I use photo gallery, after you select the image the pop-ups should be your printing software with the paper size choices.

Logitech Pro9000 not working with Yahoo Messenger

Normal 0 See section B. Yahoo Messenger in the info below to setup the Audio & Video.
Also send this to your family and friends so they have there computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/ ) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://www.soft32.com/download_30.html ) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

Hope this helps. Bud
