NOT CERTAIN BUT YOU CAN TRY TO FIND IT AT A FEED STORE. LOWE'S HAS PLAY SAND,HOWEVER, IT WILL NOT CLUMP I TRYED IT BUT I ADDED A SMALL AMOUNT OF REGULAR CLUMPING LITTER TO IT AND IT CLUMPED & THE REGULAR LITTER LASTED LONGER.

Mineral rock salt by far. Sand cat litter only gives better traction on snow or ice.

You should not use cat litter under any circumstance. Cat litter is designed to absorb moisture, which you want to stay away from. This can cause serious skin problems for your lizard (or other reptiles for that matter), and may lead to dehydration. There's a product called ReptiSand that I found to work very well, maybe you can give it a try. Here is a link to the product information -

Is there any way to recycle cat litter?

There are a few ways in which cat litter can be reused:

  • • to clean up spilt oil (perhaps in the garage or driveway) - simply sprinkle some cat litter on top and let it absorb the oil
  • • fill up small sink holes in your garden
  • • if you use a wood/wheat based cat litter you can spread it as mulch
  • • if the litter is made of natural ingredients, it can be added to your compost

What is the best litter to use?
The majority of this choice is left up to your cat; however you do have some say in the matter. I think that the best litter is one that is made from natural, non-toxic ingredients. I spent some time researching cat litter when I first got a cat and my research revealed that cats tend to prefer litter that most resembles beach sand. I would look for an unscented, clumpable litter.

How does one remove strong smells from microwave
Microwave a little bowl of orange juice with a teaspoon of baking soda in it for three to five minutes or until the orange juice has steamed away to half the original amount. Remove it carefully, wearing oven mitts, then wipe down the inside of the microwave with paper towels. The burnt smell will be gone and instead the microwave will smell clean and fresh. (This also works with alcohol-free mouthwash, if mint smells better than citrus to you, but don't use any that contains alcohol, as it might explode.)
