Brother HL-2140 Corona Clean Error Won't Go Away!!!

Bought a refurbrished Brother HL-2140 Laster Printer cheap from Office Depot, but ready to throw it out the window of the hotel I'm staying in.... I'm getting the same Corona Wire Cleaning error that everyone else seems to have gotten, and now I can't print more than one or two pages without having to "clean" and reset the cartridge several times.

Is there a way to override this error altogether as it's clearly not a "real error"?

The error message is misleading. The printer wants a new toner cartridge.

HL-2140 Clean Corona wire Message won't go away.

Hello,
If you are getting "clean corona wire" on your PC and the toner light on the machine is solid, you need to change your toner cartridge.
This is a bug in the brother software.
Thanks,
Pat

Get a clean the corona wire. Have removed the

Try using canned air to blow out that corona area, and then a Q-tip moist with alcohol to gently wipe the corona wire, if all that fails you will need a new drum.
Also press the go button 3 times so you get a printout and check that you are getting a clean the drum error or something else.

Get error light when trying to print labels - HL 2140

The driver should pop up a error message. Possibly is due to clean corona wire. Slide the blue lever several times across (at the drum unit).

Its said error and drum and its womt print??

You need to take out the drum and find the blue tab on top, run it back and forth about 20 times to clean the corona wire. When that doesn't help you open the door and hold the go button til all lights flash and then close door. Drum error should go away. Press go 3 times for a printed report.

CORONA WIRE CLEANING

SWARNAVA has the most common wrong answer to this problem...

I am waiting for a firmware update to fix this issue. The only solution is repeatedly removing the drum/toner, moving the green cleaner back and forth, putting it all back together loosely, putting it in the printer loosely, and closing the door gently. Hold down the blue button until all the lights glow, then release. If you're lucky you only have to repeat this process a dozen times until you trick the sensor into not giving false readings.
