Wiring code for the jack?

I lent these to a buddy of mine so he could use them for mixdown, and his room mate borrowed them to listen to music - then wasn't paying attention and walked too far from the stereo and broke the jack at the end of the cable.

I got a new, gold plated stress relieved 1/8" stereo jack from Radio Shack that I want to solder onto the end, but I don't know where to solder them. There's a red, white, and yellow wire. I could probably just order another wire - it's detachable from the headset - but I'd rather not, considering I'm all of five minutes away from having a useable set of headphones again.

    I just went thru this; Tip = yellow wire for right ear; Ring = red wire for left ear; Sleeve = white wire for common/ground. Unfortunately, I had to rewire due to previous incorrect information.

You're right on the code, with the exception of the right and left. I'm an AKG dealer and spoke to their service department. Here goes:

White=Ground
Yellow=Left
Red=Right

To confirm this, I used a multimeter in continuity mode and tested them. This code is 100% correct.

    Pertaining to a AKG K 240 studio headphone, this information is incorrect. It reverses the stereo field. You're a dealer?

Three button crate footswitch wires need to be refastened. I need a wiring diagram.

My mate's crate uses two stereo jack leads similar to 6.35mm guitar leads but stereo. You can buy them anywhere.

Do I need to connect the Xenyx 1202 to an amp?

If you are the only person listening, you can use headphones with the headphone jack. Otherwise you will have to use some sort of amplification and speakers,e.g. P.A., stereo etc. I'm using a Xenyx 1222 FX and am quite happy with it.

Magix studio 10

the problem is you are only recording on one side if you are using only one source, try using dual mics (with a audio interface with at least 2 inputs) or just record your tracks in stereo, then change the playback prefference to mono for listening purposes, then change back to stereo before mixdown
