The speaker on the non-playing side is blown. Disconnect it or the amp will get fried as well. The coil has loosened from its form and is rattling against the speaker frame. If the insullation on the coil wires gets worn enough,it will short against the frame and possibly smoke that amp channel.

Make sure you have the correct headphones for your computer stereo not mono the inner connector on the computer socket and the headset connector must align exactly if the speakrs still play while the headset is plugged in you have the wrong type of headphones connected try logitech brand Headphones designed for computer listening
