Rotating blinking lights in the display is probably an indication that the Wrinkle Prevent option has been selected. Wrinkle Prevent will continue to tumble the dryer without heat after the cycle has ended to help prevent wrinkles from setting in. When this option is selected by pressing the Wrinkle Prevent button on the control panel, the display will count down the estimated cycle time; when the cycle ends, the display will show lights blinking in a circular (or actually rectangular) motion.

To deactivate, simply press the Wrinkle Prevent button again so the light is not illuminated.

SOURCE: loud bang during dryer rotation

not nkowing what brand, I would guess its a maytag or one of their brands. It sounds like a screw that mounts one of the paddles inside the drum has backed out and is now poking out the out side of the drum hitting the cabnet as it goes around. Un plug it , pop the top open , rotate the drum clock wise by hand slowly to see if a screw is standing up on drum.
If its a whirpool dryer with the lint filter inside the door, the top cabnet is dented down, hitting the drum.
someone sat on the top, bent it down.

GE Electric Dryer with Steam - Estimated Time Remaining issue

The estimated time remaining display on your GE Electric Dryer model # GFDS140EDWW is designed to show the remaining drying time in decimal format. The reason for this is that the dryer's algorithm calculates the remaining time based on a number of different factors, such as the load size, type of fabric, and level of dryness selected.
Unfortunately, there is no way to change this setting on the dryer. It is simply the way the display is designed to operate. However, you can use the manual to help you convert the decimal number to minutes. For example, if the display shows 4.1, you can convert this to 41 minutes by multiplying 4.1 by 10.
If you are still having trouble with the display or any other aspect of your dryer's operation, you may want to refer to the user manual or contact GE's customer service for further assistance.

My dryer is stuck on "Control Lock"

See if you can get into the diagnostic mode. If not, you will need to replace the "user interface" on the machine. Here is a link to the part if you should need it.
ACTIVATING THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE 1. Make sure that the dryer is in the "Standby" mode (plugged in and all of the indicators are off). 2. Press the following control panel keypad sequence all within 5 seconds: More Time-Less Time-More Time- Less Time. 3. All indicators on the console should now be illuminated with "88" showing in the "Estimated Time Remaining" display, if this test mode has been entered successfully.

I have an LG washing machine, model WF-T1008TP. We have followed all the manual instructions but it has a timer that counts down and it is stuck in 52 minutes for more than a minute. What do I do next?

The timer shows approximate time remaining. The time displayed is continually adjusted due to factors such as how long it takes to fill, pump out, spin, etc.
Dryers are even more irratic due to load size, dampness levels, and cool down periods. This should be a Fix-Ya for your washer. It is working as designed.

Problem when drying gets to 1 minute mark

This is happening when you selected the wrinkle prevent option or you set it to wrinkle release cycle.what it does is it is tumbling with no heat to release the wrinkle in the clothing. This is normal. It could also be normal part of drying in "regular" cycle
