My brand new acer laptop will not charge. It says plugged in, not charging. What do i DO!!!!

Borrow another same voltage output from a friend or test it at a shop. That is either a 18.5 or 19volt charger. If thats it contact Acer they will ship you a new charger if its les than a year old. If it still wont charge then its a bad battery as well contact Acer.

My Acer Extensa 4620Z seems to have a lose connection when I plug in the power cord charger because I have to keep turning it to make sure it holds. Is this repairable.

You will need to disassemble the notebook & bring the motherboard out to check the power socket into which you plug the power adapter. This socket will then need to be checked.
If the solder joints binding this socket to the motherboard are loose, you will need to re-solder it. If the socket itself is broken, you will need to replace it.

Will not start

First try to reset the hardware using the following steps:

1 Disconnect the battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Reconnect battery and charger, try to start by pressing the power button.

If it remains same, connect an external monitor to the VGA output of the system and then turn it on.

Let me know the results.

My notebook just turn off by itself,,, and when i try to restart my screen didnt turn on i can hear like the enginee is starting ,,, is there a way i can fix it from home?

Try removing the battery for 5 mins and turn the laptop on. Plug the charger into the laptop and see if the battery charges if not the connector on the laptop or the charger its self is probaly bad. If you know how to use mutimeter measure the voltage at the output you should get a reading.

Charger will not charge and charger gets very hot. Why?

Not uncommon for them to die, although they should run warm. Does it get hot when its not plugged in?

If your battery is shorted that can cause a PS to get quite hot. Take a Multimeter and check the output voltage of the PS and see if it is working and outputing the correct voltage.

There are only 2 possibilities, powersupply needs replacement or the battery needs replacement.

Theres no power

you may have a bad charger. take a volt meter and test the dc voltage coming out of the charger while it is plugged in the wall. on the charger pack there will be a label or imprinting that state the output voltage.
