Samsung TAB 5 works with Vodafone sim but when I put Telasta sim it just say insert sim
To use the Telasta sim you first have to get an unlock code from Vodafone.
Look in your contract when they have to give you the sim lock release code

This phone must be made for use on T-Mobile or Cingular/AT&T? Cell phone companies don't want you using their phones with other carriers if you decide to switch. They figure this will keep you from switching. A t-mobile phone will only work with a t-mobile sim card. Same with Cingular. When you put in a sim chip from another carrier, the phone wants a password so you can use it. But you have to get the password from the carrier that sold the phone to use another carrier. There are ways to get this code if you want it.

i have a samsung sgh G600 and it from uk and i live in India and when i put my indian sim it asks for network lock

Sir , Cellphones have a security network seal which prevents it from using it in another country. You have to go to any nearby cell phone shop and tell them to break the seal .pls dont get to any authorised shop coz all this work is illegal. thankyou hope you liked my advice
