Question about Jenn-Air Refrigerators

What causes food to freeze in the bottom of the refrigerator & meat & cheese tray

I have had problems off & on with food freezing in the bottom of the fridge. such as cheese deli meat, fruit salad greens I have to keep throwing food out. How can I prevent this.

See if there is a temperature setting on the side of the drawer. Mine has a small lever that opens a hole to the freezer to keep that drawer colder. If it's opened too far the food will freeze.

HI thanks for your question. try turning the thermostat to a lower, number. and clean all the coils at the back by the compressor. it might be all you have to do/ thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer. thanks.

The temperature in the section or the refrigerator isn't set correctly.
Also, check the thermostats if it is functioning correctly. PLEZE LET ME KNOW.

Best place for cold cut meats is the bottom drawer in the refrigerator. It's also good for cheeses. That drawer is the coolest but not freeze place. The upper two drawer are good for veggies and fruits. We put the lever controls in the middle selection for them.

your evaporator motor may be going bad also check to see if your condensing unit and fan motor are clean this can cause similar problems.

Fridge not freezing meats

I was writing a big note here before then hit the wrong button, it was just a bunch of jargon anyway. Yes it is the condenser fan motor causing your problems. Doesn't cool the refrigerant properly than nothing works. I would change the fan before it causes any damage to the compressor.

The food in the refrigerator drawers (crisper and meat) are freezing and the waterline froze. What is causing this and is it worth repairing?

I have Ge GSS25XSQA SS side by side and the food in the refrigerator drawers (crisper and meat) are freezing. Also the ice dispenser is frozen closed. The water dispenser still works.
Want can I do to fix it. Would dirty coils have anything to do with this?

Amana Bx22s5W freezes food in the crispers

I've had the same issue with an Amana BX21TL. In my case, the problem was that the various air flow adjustments were all directing the cold air to the bottom of the fridge, underneath the vegetable crispers.

What I've done to fix this was:
1- Made sure there was a tight seal between the vent opening at the back of the fridge (at about mid-height) and the rubber/plastic duct that directs air to the meat/cheese drawer.
2- Made sure that the adjustable opening at the back of the meat/cheese drawer was fully open.
3- Made sure that the adjustable opening at the back of both vegetable crispers were fully open.

you have the freezer set too low. set it at -02 degrees and then turn up the adjustment for the meat tray and the humidity up on the vegetables. let me know if this helps.

Trisensor Climate Control on model JFC2089HEP does not adjust My Jenn-Air French Door Refrigerator is 3 1/2 years old. The Temperature has been set at 0 and 38 on the control since day one. Jenn-air JCD2389DES still leaking after clogged drain hose cleared Hello, after having several leaks in front of fridge, turned water off to refrig, had serviceman come in. he said leak due to door not shutting completely, which caused drain hose in freezer to clog. made sense, as door had been stopping just short of fully closing. cleared clog, emptied drain pan. but still have leak. comes back says bec door open. but have been shutting door completely. Intermittent leak--2 nights ago, then nothing. then today i open door, get eggs,close and 2 minutes later large leak. drain pan feels dry; leak seems to be to left of it (under freezer more than fridge). have spent over $400 between service call and getting ice maker (burnt motor) repaired; selling house in 1 month, help! Is there any simple solution?
