SOURCE: hi bought a advent 6553 laptop with no utilites

Try enabling boot from cd rom in bios as it maybe booting from hard disc.
Press F2on your keyboard after switch on then advanced bios then select CDrom as first boot device press F10 then it should boot from your os disc.

i have a advent 6553 and both usb port are broken i only need the conponent dual usb on the side

Only the manufacturer of the laptop will have a matching motherboard, unless you can find such a "pre-owned" motherboard on eBay.

You can disable the wireless adopter

Type ncpa.cpl in run command
It opens the network adopters in ur laptop.
Right click the wireless adopter and disable

prees the funtion key ( blue Fn, bottom left ) and F11.
