Power loss on my JVC KD-DB95BT

It has been installed by Halfords and it worked initially, but then wouldn't power on. The unit was replaced and the same problem soon occurred. That unit was reinstalled and the same has happened

With two radio doing the same error normally leans issue at car installation. When power is lost try pressing EJECT to see if you hear a motorized noise. I would recommend to directly connect to a 12v power supply out of car to troubleshoot or send in for review. This will be hard to troubleshoot over internet if this is a car installation issue.

The Touch will not work with the KDPDR30. I spoke with JVC and their models that will operate the Touch are KDPDR40, KDAPD49, KDPDR45, KDPDR41 and KDG47 the last two have a cable required.

SOURCE: JVC KD-R200 won't power up for more than 5 seconds

Check your wires they might be touching steel around your car mostly look at your yellow and red wires those are the 1' that give it power and light to your radio also check your radio fuse in the back.

SOURCE: Just installed jvc kd-s16 and it loses power after

Connect Yellow to Battery (always 12V), red to ignition, and black to ground. Disconnect all others. Check it. If the radio stays on and plays CD, then radio is good. You may check other wiring

How to wiring jvc kd-r690s?

To wire a JVC KD-R690S car stereo, you will need to connect the power, ground, and accessory wires to the appropriate terminals on the back of the unit.
  1. First, locate the power, ground, and accessory terminals on the back of the unit. These are usually labeled "Power," "Ground," and "ACC," respectively.
  2. Connect the positive power wire (usually red or yellow) to the "Power" terminal on the back of the unit.
  3. Connect the negative ground wire (usually black or brown) to the "Ground" terminal on the back of the unit.
  4. Connect the accessory wire (usually blue or blue/white) to the "ACC" terminal on the back of the unit.
  5. Make sure that all of the wires are securely connected to the appropriate terminals.
Keep in mind that the specific wire colors and terminal locations may vary depending on your vehicle and the specific model of the JVC KD-R690S car stereo. You may want to consult the owner's manual or a wiring diagram for your vehicle and the stereo to make sure that you are connecting the wires to the correct terminals.
If you are having difficulty wiring the JVC KD-R690S car stereo or if you have any other questions, you may want to consult a professional installer or JVC customer support for further assistance.

Why won't my JVC KD-HDR car stereo turn on?

Has it ever worked before? If not, this could be a basic install issue. To bench test, combine red and yellow and run to 12V positive and Black to 12V negative to see if it powers up.

Why does my JVC KD-DB95BT car stereo lose power?

Power lost on two units in one car is a little unique. Does it lose power in the middle of a trip or when you first get into car? I would recommend bench testing to direct 12v unit to see if car is causing voltage loss.

My jvc kd-g300 head unit shorts out and comes back on when i turn it up louder than 20-25 esspecially if the bass is turned up

Could it possibly be a loose wire behind ur deck that connects itself when bass starts to hit? Just an idea of a possibility..otherwise check all possible fuses that could be responsible for the loss of power.

KD-G421 in Vectra Envoy 99

To stop the memory loss you need to swap the red and yellow wires around. (battery power and ignition power).

To stop the date loss, you need to cut the electrical ariel/remote blue wire.

Error 10 message on display screen

Same issue but pressing Power and SEL would not reset unit. Found solution. Once again disconnected the car battery. Removed the face unit from the radio base and then reconnected the battery. Replacing the face unit AFTER the power was re-established solved the issue. (Probably pulling the radio fuse rather than toying with the battery connection would have done the same thing.)
