Are you saying the engine cranks but won't start, or the engine won't crank ? If the engine does not crank, you would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch as well as the ground connections.
on 1987 all you mentioned are on same fuse #11 located in fuse box below steering wheel 3rd row 3rd fuse from left next to either a blank space if you do not have power windows,or next to silver circuit breaker if you do have power windows.
Check the wiring for the door thats going into the passenger compartment alot of the times from the excesive opening and closing the doors the wires will break check it out and let me know if that works
