Is this a wireless mouse? If yes, you need to isolate the problem. Please follow the steps below:

1. Use fresh batteries.
2. Connect the wireless receiver/dongle into different USB ports of the computer.
3. Make sure that the mouse is turned on and then try to reconnect the mouse to the receiver by briefly pressing the connect button on the receiver and then hold down the connect button on the mouse.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

Problem with spacebar key

I don't quite understand why this would happen after pluggin in a USB mouse - but I've seen it numerous times after a liquid has been spilled on a keyboard.

Sounds like you need to replace the keyboard. Best way to test this is to plug in an external usb keyboard and see if you can type normally on it.

If the laptop keyboard exhibits this behavior, and the external keyboard doesn't - you should replace the laptop keyboard.

USB mouse not working?

Ok don't worry. Sounds like you need to Unplug the mouse for a sec then re-plug it back in to reset it. If the mouse is wireless then try replacing the batteries. Cause a wireless mouse can still turn on if batteries are weak but won't have enough power to connect to the receiver connect to the desktop/laptop. Try doing so and let me know if this solves your issue.

your mouse pad is too sensitive. I despise laptops just for that sole reason. I have a USB mouse on my MDG and the mouse pad on the laptop turned off. I am also saner now..

Unresponsive keyboard + mouse pad

I guess you have a mechanical problem, sounds like the mother board have some issues on starting all devices.

If you could use keyboard to go in the bios, and see the screen, if would be the OS that need to be repaired.

USB device not recognized

This solution worked for me when I got the USB device not recognized message:

It can be quite frustrating. I've heard that older computers are more likely to have the USB device not recognized message.

USB drives Not working

this problem seems mostly with the usb mouse, the best solution is to plug the flash drive in one port and usb in other and restart the computer generally this always works but if it wont work then the best thing is i also did that, buy a 4-port usb hub and connect it with laptop and connect your usb mouse with this port not directly to your laptop and when you like to use your flash drive plug it in the laptop.
this is working with be perfectly and i hope it will do the same at your side.
