SOURCE: kenmore quiet guard standard dishwasher is making a popping, clicking sound periodically as it runs. It almost sounds like an electrical short. This will do the same in dry mode.

Dear Ken,
A few suggestions. Use your nose and sniff carefully all around the machine, especially when the sounds occur. See if you smell "burnt". Also, invite a friend or two who might be able to listen and ask their opinion, especially someone with electrical short experience.
Another clue is to watch any lights in the area, if there are any, and see if they flicker when this happens, indication a short inside the machine.
I would pull the lower front cover off the bottom front of the machine and lay on the floor and watch it run, with a flashlight, and see if I could notice anything by watching underneath, which is where all the wires, motor, etc. are.
Be blessed.

Why does my Bosch dishwasher not cycle correctly?

Sounds like a processor problem in the control circuits. Still in warranty? Call Bosch?
Dishwashers are complicated machines.
Try unplugging (VERY carefully) for a few minutes, then plug it back in. The occasional electrical glitch often goes away when power is stopped for a short time.
Otherwise, call a repairman.
Sorry I couldn't do better. Without any model information, anybody has to guess.

Dishwasher trips out as soon as switched on

Sounds like you have a dead short, perhaps in the motor.
Please do not attempt to start it as it might catch fire.
Someone needs to pull it out form the counter and find out the problem for you.
Sorry!
Be Blessed.

As soon as I plug in , trips the fuse box

either the dishwasher has a short in it, or the electrical outlet you are plugging into is incorrectly wired. To check the outlet, use a $4 electrical socket tester you can get at any hardware store. That will tell you if the wiring is correct.

If the wiring is correct, then dishwasher probably has a major electrical short and will require a service person to trace the problem. May be more expensive than the dishwasher is worth, but only you know that part of it.

When switched on trips main fuse. have checked fuse in plug, filters etc are clean and it is not the socket.

Sounds like there is a short in the electrical circuitry of the dishwasher -- could be the motor.

Probably best bet is to have it serviced by a tech.

My Whirlpool ADG 7550 Dishwasher trips out all my electrical sockets as soon as its plugged in. It failed whilst in mid wash. Any advice?

It is possible there is a short in the electric system in the dishwasher. There are two possibilities

1. there is a leak to the earth due to some water leakage and this causes the earth relay to trip.
2. the dishwasher motor coil or capacitor is shorted and drops the circuit breaker.

If it is related to 1, then best to take the dishwasher out from the cabinet and check with multimeter if power plug Live is showing short with Earth connection. You will have to find source of the water leak onto the power board.

If it is related to 2, then isolate the motor capacitor and try again. But 2 is unlikely if the breaker trips even if the dishwasher is not turned on.

Please post a comment if you find anything.

Whirlpool 665-13442K901 dishwasher electrical plug in shorts out

You reversed the black and white wires on what? Don't ever do that. One is the line and one is common. They are polarized for a reason.
Immediately stop using that outlet before you burn your house down. Switch the breaker off to that power circuit, then have a qualified electrician check it out.

My dishwasher wont turn on,or power on

Verify there is power to the electrical outlet. Make sure that a GFCI breaker has not tripped. Try unplugging it from the electrical outlet for about 5 minutes and plug it back in. Does this computer have a soft touch control panel? With the power disconnected remove the inner panel to reach the control panel board. Inspect the ribbon connector and make sure that the connector is fully inserted and has not slipped out. Check the ribbon connector for any signs of a short. My dishwaher was doing the same thing and it turned out the control panel ribbon connector had shorted across causing it not to work. If the contol panel tests good then lt could be a fuse located somewhere on the dishwasher or the computer board.

Washer stopped mid-cycle, water in the bottom of the tub. Circuit breaker popped due to over-load. Reset breaker and it immediately popped again. Could this be cause by a jam in the grinder assembly?

My dishwasher just quit mid cycle. (still has water in it) It is a whirlpool partner 1. I checked the breaker and it wasn't tripped... but i reset it anyways. When I tried the dishwasher again it worked for a second and turned off. I have done reading about the thermo fuse but can't find it. Not sure how big of a problem this is.
Dishwasher is 5 years old.

Thanks,
Dale
