How to open a stuck CD drawer in Marantz UD7006?

The Marantz UD7006 has an internal cover over the CD/DVD mechanism that is hard to remove. There is a square black plastic part in the left corner that protrudes through. Get something to hook that corner an gently bend it out far enough to clear that corner to remove. You can push back in to rescrew cover back down. You might have to cut the white caulk on foam block and remove it too. I slid the lens mechanism back and forth a few times on its rail.

CD-72 Marantz CD Player disc tray is stuck in the shut position.

Whilst the cd drawer was in the open position I caught it with my knee leaving the drawer on an angle. When I press the close button nothing happens and any attempt to close manually is met with...

drawer is out of alignment...some players have timing marks to align the gears(similar to engines)...but without a service manual..it may be complicated...you can try to realign the drawer...there is a limit switch that tell the player when the drawer is fully open and one that tells the player when it is fully closed....a good way to try to realign is to move the drawer one tooth at a time and trying it..until it lines up

The disk drawer on my Marantz dr700 will only open 3 quarters of the way - not quite far enough to insert a disc easily. If I squeeze a disk in, and try to close, it won't close and the unit still behaves...

You have to take case/lid off and see what is jamming drawer. Its binding on something and putting a disc in when 3/4 open isn't going to fix it

I had this happen to me as ell. you've probably got a cd stuck under the revolving tray. I took the top cover off and then opened the drawer and removed the offending disk. If you're not technically minded it's probably better to take it in to a repair shop. Mike

ud8004 shows 'no disc' after putting in a blu ray disc the unit will play cd's and dvd's but does not work with a blu ray disc. i tried seversal br disc's so it is not in the disc. take away the power and start again does nog help. i further initialised the player and checked for new soft ware but s.w is okay and this also does niet offer the solution

ud8004 internet connection not working. i can plug in a cat5 cable from my laptop, that i know is working and plug it into the UD8004. my router does not show there is a connection. when i attempt a firmware update the player says no internet connection.
