According to Facebook Support Page...
Facebook stores your password in such a secure way that we don't know what it is, and we can only check if it's correct. If you can't remember your password, you can request a new password.
If you can't log into Facebook and need to reset your password:
1.Go to the login page at https://www.facebook.com
2.In the top right, click Can't log in?
3.Type the email, phone number or username associated with your account, then click Search and follow the on-screen instructions

check your username and password. also, check your cookie setting (security settings under options) if using internet explorer. try to download mozilla firefox and see if you can sign in with that web browser. www.mozilla.org signed, Doctor MyPC [email protected]

Sorry to hear about that but don't worry- they are just doing maintenance to their servers. There is nothing wrong with your account and you should be able to get on it within a hour or two. :)
