According to the code, the problem is in the laser unit. It sounds like I'm talking to a technician, so I'll approach the problem that way. I personally would first reseat all the electrical connectors on the main PCB as well as the laser unit. Loose connections do sometimes cause codes like this one. The other thing I'd do before tossing the laser unit is to reset the error code because again, codes like this one do come up when the AC power fluctuates from time to time. This is accomplished by entering service mode and then resetting the error . . . your service manual for the ir105 will give you the same method for service model access and the general sequence is the same for resetting the error.
