Michelle, most pets ( especially dogs) don't like loud noises like thunder and fireworks that make a loud sound. When they hear that sound they become afraid to the point that they try to escape from the area and that leads to loss or injury.
That is the sound of the bearings going out. If you want to do the job yourself I can direct you to the parts you will need. They will cost around $50.00. If you call a repair service out, look to pay $250.00 or better to fix it.
Is the noise audible through the speakers or is it a physical clicking directly from inside the receiver?
If the former, what source(s) do it and are they digital or analog?
It doesn't appear there is a fan so NO physical noises should emanate from the receiver. I'd suspect an arcing component or something electrical. THAT might be dangerous to the receiver or even a fire hazard. Get it looked at.
Have you tried the "800" number on the tank label or visited the Flushmate Web site?
Could be related to the plumbing or the Flushmate. Technical support should be able to help you pinpoint the cause and, if it's Flushmate-related and under warranty, provide a resolution.
did you size the gas line properly? sometimes if the gas pipe isn't sized properly it will cause some pretty loud wistling noises. also if you have something in the fan like bugs or lots of dust it will cause alot of problems with noises
