A screw fell off Dyson Ball DC 25 and the beater bar brush will not lock in place while upright

common with this model you need to remove the ball, and fit a lager screw into the black lever that locks the wheels in the upright postion. or you can take it to your local vac repair shop for him to do it. we charge 29 for the bleach wash service. you dont need any parts and he will fit the new bigger screw into place when hes servicing it

My dyson dc40 stays upright, i cant get it to go down..can you advise?

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

If your DC40 won't recline into the normal vacuuming position, it's likely an object has been accidentally vacuumed up and is jamming the internal changeover valve. Our video guide shows how to check for and resolve this:

I'm confident this will get your machine up and running again, but if you'd like some further help from our experts after giving this a try, please call us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Troubleshooting

Hi Janet. Thank you for asking this question. Your vacuum wasn't designed with a brush on/off switch so having the brush continually spin is normal for your vacuum.

The DC07 will not go back into the fixed upright postion.

Hi there, This is a fairly common problem and pretty easy to fix. I have made a video for you to check out. If you need parts for your Dyson DC07 have a look at vacuumspot. Please take a moment to give the video a bit of feedback or a thumbs up.

Eureka Boss - no suction in upright postion

when mine does that I find that the hose is not connected properly where it comes off to use the attachments.
If there is suction there, it is a straight shot to the floor unless it is loose where it fits together.
